View Full Version : how many Koepeshes doe a one really need?

Hey all,

My main toon is a Drow Paly (Capped). Totally fun to play him. I have been collecting Koepeshes as my weap of choice for a while now and only have a few more types to aquire to complete my set. Understanding that the Triple Positive and Mineral II GS items are Uber, My thought is, Besides these items, before a toon can craft them , Just how many kepeshes does one need and of what types. I find that I fill Almost 2 inventory pages with pretty nice koepeshes with some still in the bank. I have a hard time managing which ones to use in a mob fight bc i have 3 hot bars full of just kopeshes.

I am thinking that there has to be a combination of 10 or so tools I could use pretty effectivly in any situation. especially if I am really only raiding (All Raids) and loot grinding( i.e. Desert, Sor Jek, Orchard):


When I started this Guy I chose THF thinking it was TWF only to realize my dex is too low for the skill (until i get a +3 Dex tome. then it's on!). I have the Slashing Enhancements.

Here is what i'm thinking is all i need to really carry with me. (remember, not factoring in GS):

1: Holy Burst/PG
2:Flaming Burst of Disruption (w/ Etherial Bracers)
3: Transmuting/PG
4: Flaming Burst of GUB
5: Shock Burst of GEOB
6: Vorpal of PG
7: Smiter or GCB
8:Piercing Banisher (SS in my case)
9: Dream Spitter (Qstaff)
10: Icy Burst of PG


Any other ideas or combos that would reduce the number needed on hand?

Holy Sword - Khopesh and Warhammer for everything evil
+5 Acid of Maiming for odd ball mobs
Smiting Scimitar
Vorpal of enfeebling (Scimy prefered for proc's on enfeeble. Lots of people go Pure good, but why DPS if you are gonna insta kill?)
Acid of Greater Elementalbane
Greater Constructbane (Holy is nice for Shroud)
Acid of Disruption (too many Blackbones out there other wise flaming burst)
Banisher

I also used to carry a +5 cursepewing Khopesh of shattermantle as a nice debuffer

Most of my melees carry...

Min II GS / Rad II GS (blind)
Vorpal / Vorpal (don't worry about splash dmg...just get a high + to hit)
Wop / Wop (daggers work great...and they are cheaper than rapiers)
WoE / WoE (scimitar & kukri)
Para/Shatter & Curse/Destruction (scimitar & any other type of weapon)
Banish / Banish (i keep these in my bank)
Smite / Smite (i keep these in my bank)
Disrupt / Disrupt (i keep these in my bank)
Flaming Burst GUB / Acid GUB (blunt if you can find them)
Holy Adamantine GCB / Holy Adamantine GCB
Icy Burst GEB / Icy Burst GEB
Club of Greater Ooze Bane / Club of GOB

yep...forgot to mention carrying arround 2 - Holy Greater Construct Banes & 2 - Icy Burst Greater Elemental Banes and some others

Its a lot of weapons to drag arround...but its nice to have them

Thats easy, as many as you can carry and still be lightly encumbered yet still have room for all the loot in the shroud without having to sell to the Skeleton dude.

yeah very nica all.. so i am seeing here that alot of people have a huge on-hand inventory. I was trying to see if i could limit what I carry as much as possible. but what i am seeing in the tread is at least 10 more like 20 just for a basic cross spectrum competancy...

Well i think I may have to figure out some hot bar system to utilize this gaggle of tools I have collected.


About Dreamspitter..... Don't Need it, Just really like it. I think it works decent with my pali at times.

Id say

1- holy sword
2- a wounder or enfeebler
3- a vorpal (just in case)
4- shocking burst of pure good or maiming
5- transmuter

all u need I think. Beyound a certain level u dont need to disrupt undead, beat em down or casters will. constructs u can beat down as well - not much else to really worry about.

Of my various Pallys the only one I'm currently playing carries:

Holy Sword Spell Khopesh/Warhammer
2x lightning II's
2x +5 transmuters of righteousness (for when I forget to make the Holy Sword Spell weapons:o)
2x Weak of Enfeeble
2x GCB
2x vorps
2x wounders
2x cursespewing of shattermantle
some high plus handwraps of great aberation bane for rust monsters (he's a monk splash)
2x muckdooms (in the bank mostly)
