So... since I am just hanging around still waiting to see if Heck freezes over and we get a concrete answer from Turbine about the hold up I get fed a little information. Now my source is credible however I do not guarentee that their source is credible. So I figured, for everyones entertainment, why not start a topic about this "rumor".

Is it true, or even possible, that the release of Mod 9 has been so severely delayed due to either an ongoing, or impending, lawsuit against Turbine over the product in question (DDO/Stormreach)? Now, as it was suggested to me, Turbine and its employees may be under some gag order and hence the complete and utter lack of information. Anyone have a comment on this one? It may have already been brought up but Im not in the mood to do a search.

A gag order wouldn't preclude them from posting a notice that they are under a gag order in a pending legal action and can't provide any other info.

I think this Gag Order is just what turbine "hides" behind

TURBINE for the sake of my sanity

1. Are you in a Gag Order?

2. If yes can you show us the wording of the gag order (as this will aid us in knowing what we can in fact ask you)

3. and can you tell us who is not tied to this order...so we can ask them!

Nah, I don't buy a legal gag order in that sense.

In Canada, you $10 clerk search would let you know if so-and-so were being sued or suing and I'm sure the "news" has them done all the time. I assume it similar in the USA.

I will bet you a lg devil scale they are in an NDA situation either internally or with another party (eg. IP holders for Harry Potter)

and while I'm up on my soapbox, there is no plans for DDO to be ported to the console. It just doesn't make sense to me..

In my local game store last week there were WoTC materials for something coming out June 9 (I should have paid better attention) ... maybe some management genius has tied DDO with this, or maybe it is irrelevant.
