Since the demon sands mod, there was a new NPC that would fixed accessories once you gained enough house P favor. It been many mods since then is their a way to lower the favor needed?

But there also problem about this NPC, it will be no different from the 400 free agent favor, a more expensive way to fix item but less chance to break it.
With so many binded items and a way to bound them sothey do not take damage, this is less of a need to go out of the way to fix non bound ones mostly when there still a good chance of damaging anyways.

Can they make both smith flawless in their repairs. Maybe instead of being more expensive maybe a rare collectible can be used instead, so that it shows that you went out of your way to appease the smith to not damage equipment?

I like this idea.

I don't like this idea. The ability to get gear fixed shouldn't only extend to those who have the ability to find "rares" or 'larges".

I don't bind my items, and I know a lot of other folks who don't either, because binding gear would make it impossible to "heirloom" it to a lower level character when the character who was originally using it outgrew it. I do this with all my alts so everyone can have decent gear. It isn't the so called 'uber' gear that a lot of people brag endlessly about, but it serves me well. I want to be able to repair it.

I don't have gobs of plat to spend on new gear. I don't farm, I don't buy plat from plat spammers. I don't craft either, because it all seems to me to be such a chore; you need so many "large" this or that or whatever. When I have time to play, I want to play, not be fuddling around trying to get materials to craft something, or run the same quest 100 times to get 'larges'. Frankly, that bores me to death.

Everything I have I've gotten in game, either through gift, AH/broker or random find as loot. I think the favour system is a lot more fair to everyone, casual player ( like myself) and power game alike.

I think you are confused maybe, thinking favor repairs is the only repairs? Favor repair is the 400 free agent guy and not unlocked House P guy that fixes gear with less chance to break gear, unlike the other smiths or bartenders! Also I am not saying to have to find large scales :p We have alot of collectibles in the game and maybe a use for them would be the smiths, for flawless repair. Flawless repair means you do not get broken gear back at all after paying for it to be repaired.

Not many people make the trip to desert to use the 400 free agent favor gal to fix gear, it because still a chance of breaking you still end up wasting a lot of time going out of your way just to get a broken item back. They said they fixed it for smaller chance but my gear gets broken still so i gave up on it.

I am in the middle on this one. I like having different and variable options for many things repairs is just another one. I wouldn't mind having in game various smiths or tailors at different skill sets to repair items, armor, weapons what have you.

Besides only using gold to repair items maybe tie in some of the gems in game that are abundant when looting in a quest for something other than just making gold on. Lets say a master smith in House D wants 5 blue diamonds and 2 star rubies besides his normal repair fee to take extra care on your item to repair. Translation, I will put my best smith on it and guarantee the work is flawless.

Maybe the smith in the desert wants some other form of gem like maybe white diamonds for flawless repair, you get my point.

Someone that pays only the regular gold fee as is currently in game would continue to have a chance of poor workmanship but also have a chance of flawless workmanship.

One of the things I did'nt like is when the game also allowed bartenders to repair, what does a bartender know about fixing a war hammer.

If we had mudane crafting, we would be able to repair items ourselves if we have the right profession/drafting skill. If we break it, we have only ourselves to blame. :P

I read most of this. I especially had a good laugh at Shae. However i always do. As it turns out i got all of my gear from AH/Broker, end rewards, and chests. Just like everyone else. My toons put their pants(or docent) on one leg at a time.

Repairing Gear has never been a problem. The only thing that ever gets broken are rings. Things get damaged. However i do not have a backpack full of broken items. I repair with the meridia tavernkeep most often. Or the Potion guy in meridia.

I completely understand people not wanting bind items, i rarely do it myself. The only bound items i have are ones with eldritch rituals on them. Like Shae said, people like to "heirloom" items. I never really thought into it that much, i just pass stuff on to twink my toons.

I'd like to see some changes that would in general make some of the lackluster favor rewards more appealing. The only ones i like so far as 400 silver flame for the potions, 150 coin lords is a no brainer, and Kundarak favor is a no brainer. Most other favor rewards just don't seem like going for.
