I been jumping on the server and looking at the LFM at different hours of the day and notice that there seems to be a much higher population 24/7 on thelanis.
Is it a good move?
What guilds R open for application?
What R the good channels for party forming and fun?

you didnt say what your previous server was but thelanis has plenty of room for vetran players IMO.

Coming from Argonesson and "plenty of room for veteran players" sounds very good.

Type of player will determine best guild. If uber powergamer, Legion or Pestilence probably. There are about 10 middle range guilds I can think of. Have powergamer and casual mix, and decently sized. Checking peak time who list should give you an idea.
I don't know every guild, just speaking my knowledge.

No idea how busy Thelanis is versus other servers, though things should pickup whenever mod 9 is released. I'd suggest playing with various guilds, see what fits your style/personality and go from there.

i play on thelanis khyber and argo. my home is thelanis. if you are a good player you will do well on any server. i also think thelanis is fairly pug heavy and pug friendly, unless its those jerks from legion.

Never carry the under equipped noob jerks. Ever
To OP: send a PM to Wizzly and ask him. He's already done something very similar to what you're planning on doing.
Better not Thelanis... we only accept people with more than 5 W/P rapiers...

I 've dropped in a few times over the past couple of weeks i have a lvl 15 and lvl 4. I can't buy into a PUG on thelanis lately unless I start it. Must be the times I get on.

I think that's odd. Invent a bogus guild and you'll probably have an easier time.

For baylensman...
I've been playing since very early in the games' release and to this day, when I have an LFM up and people hit it, I first look for people I recognize and then the guild tag.
If a name I know that is someone I won't team with or a guild I don't care for, immediately declined.
If the person is in a guild I don't know, I will accept them over someone in no guild whatsoever - reason why: If the person is not in a guild at all, I safely assume they are someone that is not wanted in a guild, thus being someone to avoid.
Weyoun is correct. Invent a guild for yourself for the time being, as it will enhance your ability to get onto teams.
Or do what the rest of us did and earn your invite to a guild and then as you meet more people you can see if you like the guild you are in or another guild that is more suited to your playstyle.
For the OP... check out the Guild listings section on Thelanis to see who is recruiting.
Most guilds are always open to recruiting, but most have criteria and many of those actually list their criteria in that post. Some guilds may have simple statements like... "fun loving, mature gamers" all the way to "You don't find us, we find you"... etc... etc...

Not uncommon to see 3-4 major guilds in one raid these days anyway. If you play enough, you will play with most guilds.
I think Legion should be like Primus. We can yell "Legion sucks" and it will be a compliment. Tell Sarcos he sucks for me.

hello and welcome to thelanis! I would say it is a good move for you. I play on all servers once in a blue moon even on Argo. whitch is not the worst server by ANY means. lol. now as far as guilds i have my Favorites however as how i do not know your personallaty or game style, I would say let yourself find your own best guild. Personally, I have been in almost ever guild on Thelanis at one time!....LOL...shhh( u know who u are). I will tell you something else make your own likes and dislikes of people on this server because sme people on this server a HIGHLY judgmental and narrow minded about others. Further, I would say trying to lvl a toon on thelanis and not just move all ur toons. I have found you can find people to talk to that way because in higher lvls most of us tend to only stay with friends or guildies more often.
OH, and on another personal note me and u will have to talk about names!...Isis is SOOO me only..,,,.....:P

I would always ask to see someone's credentials before inviting them to my guild.

Same thing before you let them into your house ;).
On another note - I guess there was some confusion on my earlier post. To the OP: Wizzly has been on every server and is probably in the best position to give advice to someone coming from any of the servers to Thelanis. Forum name is WizzlyBear I believe.

Osiris my only warning to you is that a majority(more than 50ish %) of pugs (meaning true pugs not 5 guildies and 1 spot open) are either RP, or slow play non zerg. What I recommend as someone who came over from Argo is to find a guild that will help you level if you are starting fresh, otherwise you will be at the mercy of grinding quests out with out being able to zerg them quickly. If I had 1000pp for everytime I have heard "who's zerging" and "wait for the group" I would be a plat millionaire. The upside is most of the groups are competent (if slow to start and progress through quests) and if you get lucky you might hook with people who are vets leveling their toons. I was fortunate enough to meet some nice people on 1 character. But the other two I have been forced to either solo or slow play.

thelanis has some relly good folks on the server.
Make your choice and base it off how you like to play.
Never take a blind invite to groups or guilds unless you know them and the played the way you like too.
there are small guilds and lardge guilds and everyone differs in some way the same with the people in them.
population is lardge and quite often something going on all the time.
f2p is going to open up alot of new people that don't know what they are doing and that means a ton
of new guilds popping up do your homework.
tons of vets on thelanis but a ton of egos too not always a bad thing but they might not always be willing to wait
while someone gets used to there playstyle.
over all take your time do your homework and you'll be fine if you move over.

I recently relocated here. I had several capped characters between Ghallanda and Argo that were in two great guilds Ransacked and KaTet. Unfortunately, I was persuaded to start anew so I picked Thelanis for a fresh start.
This server seems more populated than either of my past home servers and has some decent play level. Reminds me more of Fernia than Ghallanda. The guild I hooked up with here has been amazing to me.
From my personal experience I feel you will be happy with the transfer.
