So, I used Enigma to on all of the posts by Tarrant and Tolero and it turns out that the whole thing is a new raid system where every raid is run by an new superboss named "Boldrin". That is why he "left the game", honestly does anyone believe he's playing the lead roll in "Hair" or whatever he said? Coincidence? I don't think so. There's also a new "Coyle" type NPC that every raid party has to keep alive named "Hordo". Apparently, in addition to solving puzzles and beating down other bosses, you fail the raid if either you don't do exactly what the superboss Boldrin says, or if "Hordo" dies. So as soon as Hordo "decides to leave" I would say mod9 should drop within a few days of that.

And you thought the Abbot was tough.

Ahhh, but those of us who've done hundreds of Shrouds with Boldrin will know him like the backs of our hands and will be able to defeat him EASILY.

EASIEST raid in the game despite the "Hordo" requirement!!! :D

I have run with Hordo before and I believe that it is easier to keep Coyle alive

lol but I heard they were going to throw random hordo deaths on a hidden timer. So you never know when and if hordo will die. The zergers could go fast and fail. The cautious could go slow and wipe. On top of that they are sticking the simon sez engine with boldrin. "boldrin says finish your puzzle now" you dont finish. Instant party wipe doom. :)

Rage is correct. I heard on mornlands "hordo" has a stack of 10 potions of wonder which he drinks at random times. In my decodings, there were some vague references to things like "*&^(** Hordo!! he's broken again!" and "mod9 would be on schedule if Hordo was working properly" which I take as, the whole mod9 delay is due to some major problem with the "Hordo AI"...

that implies that there is some intelligence, artificial or otherwise to be working with. The jury is still out on this.

I also heard that Boldrin will be the DM voice for this quest which means it will be ALL YELLING!

Just, FYI, fastest Hordo death in ANY quest...5 seconds...I kid you not. I zoned in and was pwned. Not gonna tell anyone where or when, or on which toon, but those in the party are still laughing their @$$es off, including me, when they think of this one. I did have time to say, "so did you turn right or left up here at the trap" however. :D

Back when I first started playing, I was trying to solo some harbor quest - I think the ridiculously easy one that you break 3 tables in. Something went down, and ole Strake had to put his tail between his legs and jog on out of there lickety split.

I barely made it to the door and frantically double-clicked. Zoned into the harbor... YES!!.. and promptly died.

My rage had worn off.

Some guy was standing outside the quest, looking like he was considering soloing it. He hightailed it to the Lobster.

And here I thought "Vast and Mysterious" referred to the time left until Mod9 comes out. ;)

Having a new Coyle called Hordo would explain the predicament that Rabbi Hordo has right now. He has commented that he has been having issues with one of his accounts and it looks like it is the Hordo one. I think DDO might be blocking him out so as not to confuse all of us. How would you like to be the party having to keep Hordo-Coyle alive with Hordo the pc there. Then again, they might have found a problem that you fail the quest when Hordo dies, but Hordo-Coyle is still alive.

Oh, yes, AND died in the tavern switching belts, AND died just before shrining...again switching belts ROFLMAO! Heck I once decided to see if you could jump off the stairs from the Market to Water Works...no feather fall and found out that much like the ramp by the Leaky Dingy which I discovered earlier that day could also kill you, promptly killed me.

I've done that in harbor too! or jump from the Vale patform to geriatrus both forgetting FF and switch to the time pendant in mid-air and plummeting to my death (mummified bat was my FF item)

Darn Z, now THATS funny. I still tell the stories where we had to have 2 clerics to do Co6. 1 for the party and 1 (usually me) just for Hordo. ROFL

Yep, and what happened? I STILL died!

*ok, yes, perhaps I shouldn't have tried to take on the entire instance nearly solo with just one cleric at his wit's end running after me but...*
