Hi, myself and a couple of RL friends are seeking a good guild to join. We are veteran MMO players and P&P DnD players. However, we are new to DDO. I got myself hooked on the free trial period and they are just beginning their free trials, but are loving it. So, I decided to get a leg up and check around for some guilds for us to join.

It needs to be close-knit, but can still be a big guild... We like the guilds that are like family. We are all big jokers, so a sense of humor is nice... Not that we can't be serious or are immature, we just like to have fun. So any guilds not too obsessed with end game and who help each other out and are still growing might be good for us. Any RP guilds would actually not be bad either. I just wanted to check what was out there.

You can contact me in game character name is: Lumidee Lionheart

Also, please don't respond with some canned response... We like genuine people.

Welcome to Stormreach. If you play on Argonessen you will meet the Darkside guild.

The Darkside guild is EXTREMLY new player friendly. In addition to that, the Darkside guild has some role-playing "elements" to it.

Darkside guild is also part of the Alliance, a supra-guild of sorts.

Please contact a member, or Drelco Pathfinder the Herald of Darkside.

Faithful Uprising (or FU for short) is a close nit guild of jokers and I would highly
recommend them. They are usually online from 7:00 pm - 10:30 pm central during the
week and the weekend is a total **** shoot.

10-15 people total in the actual guild and they are allied with two other guilds
Celestial Knights and Ancient Civilization. The FU are know for wasting time, being
indecisive, but enjoying their time questing once they get going. The FU also has
many members that were/are pencil and paper D&D players. They also got their start
as a role playing guild on Khyber before coming to Argo. I should also warn you are
likely to hear someone talking about having gas or some other social 'no no' nightly
with the FU. You will be greased occasionally. You will be sneak humped if you go AFK.
Someone will probably tell you how sexy or ugly your character is and try to hump
your leg regardless. There is no shame!

There are two small problems with the FU as it relates to you and your RL friends.

#1
Many of the FU have very limited availability at low levels due to character slot
limitations. Levels 1-7 would be hard to fill a guild group.

#2
Many of the FU are going through the Spring/Summer time blues and are going through
a period of lowered activity online. This will probably pick up in a couple of weeks, but
their are no guarantees. We were having 5-10 people log on atleast 4 times per week.
Now we are having about 3-4 per night.

I hope this qualifies for a non standard response.

Say 'Hi' if you see us online and feel free to ask for help with something.

BB was actually started as a joke and just took off since there were so many people looking for a fun guild environment as opposed to the uptight no sense of humor guilds like Storm Shadow. In BB you can speak your mind on any topic you like and be assured that whether everyone agrees or not, there will be no reprisals unless you are WAY out of line (most of us are barely able to see that line from where we are now so I wouldn't worry too much). We have guild runs most nights and there are toons of every level to help you get the quests you want and pass along a few items we no longer use. I myself give away Shroud loot nearly every time I run it to anyone nearby. And we are instituting a guild bank so if you are a little short you can still pick up that item you REALLY Need!

So feel free to contact Mazurak - proud officer of the Bearded Badasses almost any evening after 8 PM Central time.
