Looking for a 2nd Server

I'm a Khyberite who has maxed out his character slots and I am addicted to rolling new characters. I am going to transfer a 1750 build to a new server to open up my Khyber slots and expand into a new area.

I enjoy Khyber and it will always be my first home.

I'm sure other Khyber players have expanded into other servers. Looking for some recommendations.

Important considerations for me:

- West Coast US player, play most days of the week 7-10pst.
- Want to try Permadeath
- PUG a lot

I just did the same thing for the same reason..but I chose Argo..I hope I made the right decision? I checked the LFM's a few times at peak hours and it seemed like they were pretty active. My "home" is Thelanis so Im use to it being pretty active. We shall see :)

I know The Sublime Permadeath guild is on Thelanis,
if you are looking to go that route

Otherwise I would check the guild thread,
I think the next largest Permadeath guild is on Sarlona.

Ah, it's Mortal Voyage. I would create a few test chars. First though,
And see where You feel you will fit in best.
Before you commit the funds to swtich your character to the new server.

I tryed the same thing transfered a charachter to Thelanis.......to tell you the truth was very disapointed.

I did roll a lowbie on Argonnessen and I had a blast,having to start all over again and being a bit more chalenged with no proper gear was a blast also met alot of fun people. So my pick will be Argo or any other server but not Thelanis. You can stil make your own choise hehe.

I just recently did this same thing moving a 1750 from Argo over to Khyber. I found playing on Argo over the last couple of years very enjoyable for low level toons. I think it might be a good choice for you!

I have to respectfully disagree with that. I pug on Thelanis a lot and have had only a few not so pleasant experiences.

I think it has a lot to do with play-style and personality if you have clashes it's going to ruin your experience.

My advice would be to roll a few Low Level on each server, run a handful of Pug's and then decide where you would be happiest. Only you know what personality types you get along with so you have the best experience in game.

I'll start some test characters on Argo and Sarlona.

Both seem to have a solid permadeath guild (MV on Argo and Extreme Explorers on Sarlona).

Need to test the PUG waters during West coast time.

"It has NEVER taken me SOOO LONG to complete a quest!" (lol)

there are a lot of Khyber folks or used to be Khyber folks on argo. However be warned that Argo is a more laid back server. A lot more people playing just to have fun. Not quite as much zerging. It exists but not in the same amount as some other servers.
Argo seems to roll up the streets at about 1 or 2 am EST unless you happen to find some boondockers on lol. Kidding sorta. There are others on at that time but it's pretty quiet. Pugs are not so bad. No different from any other server. Sometimes you get a great group that you just don't want to leave and other times you want to run for the hills. There are a lot of really quality players on Argo though but as I said many of them moved to Argo to play a more laid back or team spirit type of style.
Hubby and I didn't move a toon to Argo till we played a 28 pt build to cap first so we could make an informed decision. Might be something you want to give a try as well.

HA! That's funny. And I think kind of typical on Argo, which is why I love it there. Lots of fun people.
Our guild has been told that we are efficient and yet very entertaining. (I hope thats a good thing lol) Boondockers know how to get it done, play as a team, and have a blast while doing it. :)

I did the same thing: I didn't want to pay for the priviledge of running more characters (or pay for a second account), so I started clean on Argo.
I created a warforge to get the 400 for drow then made drow alternates until I made 1750 on a drow so I can create better alternates. Didn't bring anything over to twink a character and still had a blast. Not sure if I want to cap 10 again here or go to another server.

Still some drama on Argo in the forums, but I don't see too much of it online. I see less groups then on Khyber, but less attitude towards n00bs. There is the occasional leader who puts up an LFM like a shopping list (ok, been 5 minutes so I am going to pick and choose who I want to join and not tell anyone why).

Oh don't get me wrong diferent people like diferent make ups and partyes etc,so of course you will have people that like one and not another. I just had a terible experience and just left the server. I dont know if it had to do anything with me coming as a capped and that I didn't have a lowbie.
