Is there an item in the mod 9 pipeline that will make the bloodstone obsolete? On the Argo AH there r no less than 14 right now. I cannot remember seeing more than 8 at any given time and the prices r reasonable which for Argo is suspicious in its self. Jus curious if any1 else has noticed this on the other servers?

There's a whole bunch on Khyber and price is dropping...

Same on Sarlona.

My suspicion? That everyone else suspects that Mod 9 will include a trinket worth having. Come on... we all know that we all wear Bloodstones because it is the best out of 3 noteworthy trinkets in DDO (Bloodstone, Voice of the Master, Head of Good Fortune). Seeker +6 is rarely worth the kind of money people charge for it on the AH--it's just that it's the only decent item to put in that slot.

Bloodstones are still around 500k min on Ghalanda at the moment. Unless there is a seeker "Something Else" I expect them to still be worth decent penny. What are the prices on Aggro?

1. Module 3 was a long time ago, but people keep looting Bloodstones. As time goes by, the total number of Bloodstones looted grows much faster than the rate at which new melee characters are created.

2. It has been promised that Module 9 will fix the Abbot raid, which provides a superior DPS trinket.

3. It has been announced that Module 9 will improve the Marilith Chain, which provides the same Seeker 6 as a Bloodstone.

4. Regardless of if the Marilith Chain is really improved in any noticeable way, wearing it + Bloodstone is better DPS than Bloodstone alone.

What does this do? The description doesn't say a whole lot and I can not seem to find a link.

Bloodstone is still great for some builds... And will be into Mod 9... There's so many because the plat farmers are back heavy right now... That's on their "list"..... It's a rotation thing.... Twigs, Bloodstones, Tele-port masks, Greaves, Boots of the Innocent.... Rinse repeat sell sell sell....

Gold spammers are clearing their inventory, everything must go,
WoP rapiers,
Bloodstones,
and Larges...

Must.... convert to plat.... because cashcow items are getting nerfed too fast!

Ok, might not be true, but it's my theory.

Past mods have taught me (and others) to always sell uber items before any sort of level cap mod. This is also the time people tend to be more frugal because they are unsure what is coming. Therefore you have lots of items on the ah and very few people buying them. Pretty typical pre mod behavior.

How so? I did not believe seeker enchantment from items stack with each other.

There is a trinket in mod 9 that increases your power to over 9000. That would be why you have seen all the runs on bloodstones.

congrats on finding a link that explains what the litany trinket does - i can't find anything that explains it other than that it gives "turn the page" 3x per day, whatever that means, plus +1 stat bonus to any stat (just one, or all of them? stacking?), and a "combat bonus"...again, whatever that means. anyone able to spell it out for me? i'd sure appreciate it.

there's a glossary of all terms. cleaner than defining them each time they pop up, or providing several screenshots per item.

Bloodstone works just fine as it is.

Its still a loot-run to this day and is still worn by most melee.

Hopefully the bloodstone's been left alone...

Post mod 9 we are also likely to see a lot more people wearing Pouches of Jerky. Some might find it convenient to have GFL on a trinket.

What I mean to write is that Litany + Marilith = max DPS. That's already the case right now, because you get both seeker and +2 damage.

I thought there would be a new trinket with mod 8, but we did not get it. It is high time that we get a new trinket in mod 9 which is better then these other trinkets which quite frankly are all subpar. I would likely wear a +6 stat item trinket if there was one in DDO on many of my characters to free up a slot somewhere else over the current trinkets available that is how poor they are.

My view is that the drop rate increased since the last loot weekend.
I have seen may up on the "marketplace" forums since then.

Also some people might think they dont need more than 2 to 4 of them per account
with the shared bank tab coming SOON..

One more thing, it has been a while since we've seen neat-o boots/trinkets/helms.
Perhaps more items for these slots in mod 9.
