Is Vicious going to stack?

Been waiting for Mod 9 to roll a WF THF Frenzied Berserker.

I recently pulled a +5 Vicious Greataxe of Maiming and was wondering will the Vicious from Frenzy stack with the Vicious on weapons.. if so that is a world of hurt :)

Apparently they modified all vicious items so that they only do a d3 back to the wielder. This means that barbarian vicious and item vicious now function exactly the same (I would go as far as saying that this is actually quite a bit of a nerf to the frenzied barb but that isn't the topic of this post) .

I'm gonna guess because of this that they won't stack. And since Turbine decided to use such an old copy of charcters, I can't test it on the character I built specificly for frenzied barb (he doesnt' even exist on Lamma). I'm sure someone else has though.

It probably works in the exact same way that monk/armor/handwrap abilities work.

I heard it does stack, which is awesome.

Not personally tested tho.

But i'd do it, 1d3 isnt much, even if its x4 or whatever it works out to with double frenzy + weapon.

Yeah, but what do you get out of the weapon? Is it still a +2d6 that doesn't multiply on criticals and takes up a prefix slot?

The frenzy stuff may well be worth it, but I'd still keep away from the vicious weapon.

+5 Vicious Greataxe of Greater XXX Bane - most powerful weapon possible. Much higher DPS then a Mineral II. (vs the right targets depending on DR, and material type of the weapon)

Now ofcourse that could be holy instead.. But if its say a elemental bane - generally elementals arent evil, so the holy wont work.. But vicious would.

So yea it will be worth it.. If I aquire such a weapon in mod9.
