Just wondering if you equip two weapons... and you don't have the two weapon fighting feats trained... will you still get two strikes when you Assassinate?

Thanks.

Easiest way to know is to sneak up to a mob and hit attack button. If you get 2 attack rolls, then yes you will get 2 assasinate attempts even without the feat.

However, I was under the impression that the second "sneaking" attack is only granted with improved or greater two weapon fighting, but I could be wrong as I have never tested this.

Pretty sure this was changed when assassin II came out so that the first swing always got two attacks when in sneak mode.

But most all my characters have gTWF, so I can't really test for you.

Thanks for the response. I can't test it out yet, I'm just planning a new rouge.

Maybe she's born with it...

Don't forget base...and a decent liner.

All you need to test it out is ANY character without any of the 2weapon fighting feats. Stick any 2 weapons in their hands, go into sneak, sneak up to a monster and attack. You either get 1 roll or 2. Or the monster dies on your first attack and you need to find a better one.

If I cared enough about the answer I'd test it myself, but I don't :D
