If the devs cant even get a Mod out anywhere close to 'ontime', how the heck you dreamers think they are going to implement prestige classes, let alone base classes? Let's face it, we all have a ton of, "I wish..." 's for this game, but there is Zero budget for this game, and I dunno...(frustrated).

First of all, who cares? Secondly, I have trust in the devs.

hmmm, thats a tough one, however due to my love of Pure arcane classes I will choose:

Base classes
Warlock (Complete Arcane)
Warmage (Complete Arcane)

Prestige Classes
Eldritch Thurge (Complete Mage)
Ultimate Magus (Complete Mage)
SpellSword (Complete Warrior)
Wild Mage (Complete Arcane)
Geometer (Complete Arcane)
Archmage (Dungeon Masters Guide)

I certainly hope they implement the Warlock and Eldritch thurge, because thats my favorate, however a prestige that can use these mechanics that I like is the Ultimate magus. I want to be able to be a pure Arcanist!!!!

I must be able to play a Watch Detective!

This seems very Eberron-ish to me. I'd love to see a game built around a "watch detective" in a steam age/fantasy setting but I think it would need to be a single-player game because you can't really do meaningful mysteries in an MMO. They are too easy to be answered collectively and they can't have many consequences since they can't change the game experience for anyone other than yourself.

So, yes, I'd really like to see it but not in DDO -- a good PnP or single-player game (or a novel) centered around a Watch Detective could be great. Load up my two favorite genres (mysteries and fantasy) in one.

Base:
Factotum (Dungeonscape)
Warblade, Crusader and Swordsage (Tome of battle)
Spellthief (Complete adventurer)
Perhaps the truenamer binder or shadowcaster from tome of magic
Lots to choose from :P

Prestige:
Mystic theurge, eldritch knight (or whatever it was named), swiftblade and arcane trickster (basically the mix two classes concepts)

i always loved blackguard's detrimental auras.

think it like negative paladin. gives your opponents neg ac, neg attack bonus etc. everything is so easy to power attack, trip, stun etc. with him/her...

problem is, he/she is evil... and we have an angelic world here for some reason.

I would like to play a Fleshwarper (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Fleshwarper_(3.5e_Prestige_Class)). In fact, that's about the only Arcane I would play.

If I understand correctly, a major reason Druids got delayed and delayed is because shape-shifting is a huge development problem. By the same reason there is no Polymorph spell yet. Fleshwarper should be easier, as he shifts shape only once in a great while (like once per level), then stays that way until next change.

I'd really want the Samurai (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/cwc/20050325a) class. I think it would be really interesting and fun to play as. (and would hopefully look awesome.)

I lol'd... If you've never had it before, let me assure every one that crow is better served when cold.

Aaaany way.

I think the existing (two year old) list of PrE's are pretty well sufficient, and the idea of adding more demands to an already incomplete project is probably a little irresponsible on our part as players...

But what do I know, I'm the guy pounding on a druid-drum, and begging for yet ANOTHER class to be considered.

You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one.

I feel the current lineup of PREs is pretty good. 3 PREs per class, plus a racial, and a dragonmark heir where applicable seems like a hefty bit to choose from, and a lot on the plates of the Devs. I hope they get it worked out and we see USEFUL Heirs and the rest of the existing PREs before they concern themselves too much with more for people who already have PREs while other classes have none.

If we're projecting further out, maybe 3-5years, I think things like Blackguard, Shadow Dancer, Mystic Theurge, Bear Warrior, and Dragon Disciple don't sound completely out of the question. Maybe even something a little wonky; like Alienist or Arcane Trickster. Then again, I just recently joined, with the flood of other newbies flocking to a free mmorpg, so I really don't know how fast they build and release material.

I could possibly see Samurai being done up as a PRE as well, although it's tough to tell how it might differ from Kensai. Maybe Sam.could get an alternate useage of Fighter Attack Boost to do an Iajutsu Strike, similar to their representation in...what was it, Oriental Adventures; so 5/shrine, they could swing for +1d6 per 2 Fighter Levels, or instead of that, maybe the devs decide a latent doublestrike chance would be more useful. (idk what's overpowered; maybe 5/10/15%?) Their gear might also take 15-25-35% less damage, plus some silly skill boosts they likely won't care about, like Diplomacy and Intimidate. Probably requires QuickDraw to get in.

Mystic Theurge

I have allways loved the idea of a character being able to wield both arcane and divine magics (this prestige whoud probbaly give my existing sorc/cleric a boost).

I would like to see that, too. But I think given the game mechanics it would be a little OP, so the devs would not put it in the game, or it would be so weakened no one would want to play it after the first toon.
