View Full Version : What happened to the all WF guilds?

What ever happened to the all WF guilds that used to exist in DDO? Brotherhood of Steel I think was the biggest on my home server of Thelanis. I would love to really get one going with 20+ members and really represent this master race.
The only thing really killing WF in the past was a lack of repair mass spells, but in Mod 9 that is no longer an issue. Anyone interested in this or can recommend a good one?

well without any fleshies around, no one was there to change the oil and plug in the batteries. they are all just sitting there waiting to be turned on again.
also, keep in mind, without the proper reproductive parts, wf just die, they dont mate and produce new offspring to take their place, so the numbers are continually getting thinned out.

more likely to see all halfling guilds than WF atm, seems 3/4 of all new rerolls are ending up pint sized

Aligning a group by race in this games makes just about as much sense as it does in real life.

But he's right. Unless you only play WF that means you have chars in multiple guilds and that doesn't work well for a lot of people.

WF are no longer ostrasized. Clerics rarely care if the tanks are WF or not, as long as they put out the damage. Since they aren't excluded, many don't feel the need to "band together" in WF-specific guilds.

They need to be taught to have more hate for fleshlings if that is the case. :)
To answer the OP's question in regards to Argonnessen at least, The Mithril Hand was a lot of fun, but I never really wanted to be a guild leader. We keep the connections going though through our warforged chat channel. Not to mention organizing Warforged only runs and Warforged Nights.

I am a member of Forged Legion on Sarlona. We are fairly active with 5 - 10 members online at any time of day. Nothing compared to the massive guilds, but enough. WF guilds are fun because you don't need to wait for a cleric. No complaints about how many heal scrolls or majors were used. Plus, lots of people to turn to on WF build advice. If you are on Sarlona, and have an unnatural fear of rust monsters, look us up.

I'm really hoping that with the repair mass spells coming in we'll see more wf only groups. We'll just have to see.

Thats really my inspiration for this. Will be nice to see the effectiveness of all WF raids in mod 9. WF clerics can be more battle cleric specced and raise dead/buffs as WF sorcs will make far better healers having more mana and faster cast times =).
There is so much potential in an all WF group, would really love to see this happen~

This happens often enough on Argo already without the guild for it. We organize them through our channel. Link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6KrvG2H5tU).

Baylensman is refering to the Forged Legion. Pretty sizeable group of warforged there. I was a member for a short time as well and enjoyed the guild while I was in it. Definetly one worth looking into if you want to play WF heavy in DDO.

Have you seen all the rain lately...figure like the Tin Man in Oz they are hiding from the rain or just got all rusted up....
Funny how they don't like sunning themselves out in the Haven....:)

I have a WF only guild on the Gallandrablahblah server that was going quite well for a while but eventually people just stopped playing their WF and it has mostly died out. i myself find WF only parties to be the most fun. i have a WF sorc spect to repair and it works amazingly well. a wf repair bot is 3 times as effective as any cleric in my opinion, 5 times the sp, fatster cooldowns, DR, all around coolness, eventually using any scrolls and wands any cleric can use. i'd love to start a character on a server with a real WF only guild

I have a WF now
How disappointing to find there are no decent battleturrets for it. I was going to pimp it up big too, but what fun is an Amored Halfling Carrier with no battleturrets?
