No replies in the Fighter Forum. Maybe someone here can make a some suggestions?

This is my very first character I made. 28 point build. I didnt think too much into evening out stats in the beginning. I don't pull +2 Tomes often and have many +6 items to switch around. I wear items that I don't change much unless the situation arises. I'll list what I wear below. He needs work on AC for sure. He was a sword and board fighter, now a duel weilding bastard sword fighter in hopes of saving him since I have a nice collection of Bastys.

When he equiped a Mithral tower shield, his AC was only a 44 unbuffed. Now with TWF unbuffed he's only at 37AC. My friends got me this far in suggestions to improve him to be a more DPS build, but I wanted to run this by the forums for more input. I'd rather not delete him just yet. What are some of your suggestions for improving his AC?

I haven't played him much over the past year and I hear that sword and board is no longer as useful at high level compared to the multi-class beasts that are out there now. Let me know how or what you think to improve him into something useful. I thought about deleting, but won't until my new up and coming fighter gets up in levels and works out. Let me also know if you need more info. I'd prefer to not multi-class this one since he's my only pure fighter, but will intertain suggestions.

Looks like a serviceable character still, moreso when Mod 9 and the Kensai prestige enhacement comes out. Check the prereqs in the fighter forum but I believe you have the right feats.

A few feats I'm not sure you need:
Dodge & TW defence- you probably can't get your AC high enough for these to matter while TWF
Power critical - you should'nt need the extra to hit here, it doesn't add damage like your bloodstone

Enhancements:
Critical Accuracy 1-4 - a/a your to hit should be high enough

Make sure you respec any feats prior to mod 9, the cost will increase dramatically.

And stay pure, the fighter capstone (lvl 20) is a 10% alactrity bonus to attack speed

Thanks for the reply EKKM. So what it's looking like, is going TWF my AC won't really be able to get high enough to matter anyway? I was hopeing for a way to get both AC and better DPS. I guess I can't have my cake and eat it too. haha I didn't really want to multi-class since I would have done that from the beginning. If this is the case I'll probably drop Dodge, TW Defense (AC 35 Ackkkk) and Power Crit like you suggested. That will get me 3 other helpful feats.

I didn't know about the enhancements costing more at Mod 9, so I like your ideas about my "to hit" being high enough, that way I can drop Crit Accuracy and switch out for some other enhancements as well.

Looking to build my third toon in ddo. Primarily looking at a basic Elven Sorcerer with a splash of Bard for UMD and little bits of CC. Might the bard also add TWF enhancements as well?

28 pt build. No tomes
