Please tell me that you adjusted Kate's volume! :D

And thanks as usual Jerry (how did your handle change?)

Mockduck is my main, courderoyguy was an old forum name I used for a long time on the Interwebs. I asked very nicely if Tolero would change it and she did!Text written in black!

Text written in black!

I tweaked Kate's volume as best as I could, applying dynamic processing to make the levels a bit more even. However, distortion as bad as was on the recording can't really be fixed in post, so it's pretty harsh to listen to. I don't have the audio in the show for that reason: rather, it's linked for your own personal enjoyment.

Nice DDO Cast. Though you probably know how a lot of us feel about Kate's low-info no-future non-talk with TTH.

Also as a correction, during the discussion of Kate's TTH, someone says they may bring out the Artificer before the Druid. Artificer was requested by one of the users. Kate, otoh, said the Favored Soul, not artificer, was more likely to come out first.

Also Tolero said "Okay" (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=177845) in a forum request for the Favored Soul at the start of April.

If they are having resource or massive implementation delays on the druid... Favored Soul (a sorc-like cleric) is probably much easier to work into the game with the current engine and adds a new healer archetype.

I'm more sad about the Half-Orc that has gone from:
-"hopefully Mod 10" in November to
-"we don't have any info on that" in ddocast's last dev chat to
-"we're re-evaluating Druids and Half-Orc's due to 4th edition PHB vol 1" in the TTH article.

Today's Analogy Corner with Gratch:
I was recently re-evaluating new seat covers in my Honda Accord, while reading about the seat covers of the latest Hyundai Accent... but then decided while they're both cars... maybe I don't need to care about seat cover technology in Hyundais and instead concentrate on the requirements to make a new seat cover work with my Honda. Eg... don't evaluate your nice 3.5ed game based on Hasbro's-book-marathon 4th ed minis++ edition.

Ah but Gratch - you assume Turbine get a choice in the matter.

Remember WoTC get game input into DDO and may very well decide to veto any move to add non-4th ed class/races.

WotC just released the 2nd players handbook for 4th edition containing both halfOrcs and druids. The 2nd handbook has been noted by WotC to be just as official as the 1st... Hasbro just wanted more money so they've broken the handbook into multiple releases. I don't quite know what Kate was smoking with that comment... well... maybe I do know (http://www.upi.com/Top_News/2009/04/20/Marijuana-fans-see-signs-of-change/UPI-61801240241253/).

OTOH,
Barbarian, Bard and Sorc are also in the second handbook only... though that totally explains the lack of Sorc PrE, Bard PrE expansion and the crit rage nerf in Mod9!!!!

Cool Gratch.

Didn't know about the 2nd PHB release.

Maybe Kate didn't either?
