"Noob" Question - Green Steel Returning Dagger.

I am a very infrequent player but have been playing for a couple of years. I have never gotten to level 13 (yet) but am working my way up (again). The whole concept of crafting and green steel is new to me and I have a question.

I got lucky on some bloodstone runs and was able to sell one on the auction house for a good sum. I used part of that to buy a +5 Green Steel Returning Throwing Dagger (I have a fondness for returning throwing daggers). The question I have is this, the item says: Ingredient Type: Green Steel Weapon, in crafting items am I correct this would be destroyed to make something else or can this item be "enhanced" via crafting?

BTW, I have not equiped it yet so it is not bound to me yet.

This greensteel item can be Enhanced at the 3 Different altars that lie within the Shroud

It is upgraded via raid crafting in the shroud.

I would not make that the first item you upgrade in the shroud. There are much better things to spend your time on.

It will be enhanced via crafting.

It will remain a GS +5 returning dagger and it can get different effects added to it. Currently all crafting of this nature is done with ingredients found in the Shroud. Here is a primer: http://ddo.enterwiki.net/page/Crafting

Thanks to those who have replied so far. If and when I get a chance to enhance it, any ideas on what enhancements would be good for a pure trap monkey non-melee Rogue who will do range attacks when it makes sense? Thanks.
