Returning?

I played DDO a lot back when it first was released for 6-8 months or so until just after the level cap was raised to 12. Unfortunately I had life and computer problems that prevented me from playing and didn't get back into it. I just got a new computer and have a little free time again and I'm thinking of returning. Is there anything I might need to know that has significantly changed or otherwise might be confusing? I still have my characters from 2 years ago, are there any changes that I might need to look into or things I need to respec, etc. Essentially, is there any advice (possibly from older players or other players that have returned)?

I think that was the mod with the desert right?
Gianthold was next I believe....great and awesome place. Go there before the other mods and enjoy the best mod, in my opinion, ever til you get to 15.

oh yea, like everyone started pulling vorpals and stuff that mod...everyone.

and mod 5, 6, 7, 8, and nine is on the way...lots of fun stuff for you for a bit.

You may find that you need to reroll some of your characters. Not many builds have survived from that time period imo. But you might get lucky. Mod 9 is coming, and that will change things some more.

That's only true if he used flavor of the day builds. Many people still play builds from day 1. Oh sure, they aren't min/maxed to the hilt, but many of them still work fine.
