Another newb question - I know that I can't stealth from undead and insects (curse those giant spiders!). But is there a list somewhere or some way to tell what can see through my stealth (other than based upon what starts eating me while I'm stealthed)?

spiders and scorpions have tremorsense, which is basically a listen skill of 10million. You CANT sneak by them without being ethereal, which we don't have as an option.

As for undead, what you talking bout willis? I've snuck by undead many times on all levels of difficulty.

Scorpions do not have tremor sense, but they do tend to have slightly higher spot/listen than most. It is very possible to sneak past them with a high enough hide/move silently.

Oozes also have tremorsense.

Undead can be sneaked past, although many times they will auto-spawn with response to a trigger being passed. (They will not notice you, however)

The Dread Wraiths in the Orchard seem to have this ability.
But most undead can be stealthed by. At least the corporeal ones can.

Tharaskhounds and bats have blindsense

Many casters have high spot and have See Invis or True seeing....but can still be stealthed by.

Slimes cannot be snuck by. Living spells are slimes.

Can't think of anythng else right now.

I wondered why the hounds in subT kept seeing my when nothing else did; I was worried my sneaking skills were gimped =(

Heh, sorry. Honestly, forum posts is about the best thing you can find, as far as I know.

The DDO wiki (http://ddo.enterwiki.net/page/Home) is your best bet for non-forum info, but I don't think they have this.

No need to apologize! This might be something useful to add to one of the wikis under stealthing/sneaking entries or something. Thanks to everyone for the help, though - I think I've got a bit before I'm high enough level to worry about Tharaskhounds (I don't even know what they are!), but I've encountered the rest of this lot already. And learned that they can find me the hard way! ;)
