Aye. We really didn't feel "right" about doing a vote rally with the service issues, but it also felt wrong to let all the hard work you guys have been doing be for naught. So you guys asked for it, and we're going to continue to ban together. Plus I have a tidbit I wanna pass out for the victory dance... our DDO players have been doing a bang up job of getting the word on the street out, politely and passionately! The publicity of the win would be pretty nice.. might make up for some of the effect of the limited advertising, so its probably beneficial for us to vote Turbine (I don't think it will make any difference to the nintendo people, in terms of PR if they win or not).

Plus, DDO is still my favorite game of all time prettymuch, and 2008 brought out my favorite module (mod 6, the shrould). Without ddo I would go to LOTRO anyways (even though I dislike the combat), so 2 top choices from Turbine = deserving of a win (imo of course).

I agree, again i know i heard release notes mentioned for today, but still might be wrong. however, we seem to be able to finish this off ourselves, and Tolero does have something cooking in her Sig, tho i dont have a clue what it means.

We should also save something for Bioware if we do get by Nintendo. In order to pass them, we are going to need the entire community, even the naysayers, so whatever we get for that race, if we do, has got to be fabtabulous.

At the end of each competition round, the Escapist Magazine admins filter through the votes, eliminating those that might be due to any fan voting multiple times by registering more than once on their site.

They probably look at IP addresses, so I'm curious if it boils down to one vote per household, even when a husband and wife both play, etc.

Whoever you're voting for, it's one vote per person! It's no fun watching vote numbers drop once the contest ends.

we've gone up about 600 votes in five hours, they've gained about 100, and the wind seems to be taken out of there sails, and without any websites for them to visit, they've gotten about all the fans they are gonna, unless they visit previous websites for spite votes. I suspect we've seen all of what Nintendo has got to give, and its only six pm ish for us, we still have a lot of folks across the world to vote yet.

But yes, i want some more stompage, so press on :)

Wow, just wow! When I logged last night we were down by 225 votes or so. Its been virtually 1200 unanswered votes, talk about come from behind. Simply amazing, win or lose this is great for our game as it speaks volumes about the community here.

It's good to see the test server make a return. This way people that want to can see Mod 9 as of this comming week and start pointing out bugs so they get fixed. Popping up on the test server is a good indicator that the mod is nearly here.

I'm sure Bioware never saw that coming when they took their name many many moons ago. I mean, Now it's either #1-Ware or #2-Ware. Either way, it's all dirty-wares.

Not to only judge Bioware on its past achievements like BG1, NWN1, KOTOR1, Mass Effect, etc (they assisted via engines & co-affiliates but did not develop the sequels of the #1 games), I think it's critical to view what they've achieved in 2008 utilizing the HeroEngine in SW:ToR and Dragons Age.

Dragons Age is getting closer to release every day -- and seriously deserves the attention of every D&D Fan. It may not say D&D, but it's mighty tasty like D&D. I would call it a deeper and darker Eragon Story with a totally different engine than you've ever seen (HeroEngine is amazing -- you just have to see it in action yourself).

Although the titles are not released yet, there's plenty of video, screen shots & development activities throughout 2008 to give them credit for the development of DragonsAge and a bit of SW:ToR.

Very hard call here, especially with lag on DDO becoming an undying issue for some. I'm one of those guys that doesn't have issues with DDO ever -- but sadly I have no luck with my LOTRO accounts and constantly have crashes.

Of course, that was a long long time ago now, and I am not sure if Bioware can release a game as amazing again unless they can get back to using the same game engine for multiple titles. BGII is Loaded onto EVERY Computer I own!! I LOVE that Game!!!

That being said.... I'm voting for Turbine...based on my love for playing DDO these last 2+ years. Lag or No Lag... i really Enjoy the Graphics and Animation of DDO! Now... if Bioware were to come up with a MMO based loosely off BGII setting....with the same intense Fighting Animation and Graphics of DDO..............
