UMD skill

Would it be worth spending skill points into UMD once the cap level is lifted on my level 16 Ranger? I have not put any points into UMD so far. I have a 13 INT and I plan to go pure Ranger. I know it will cost me 1 skill point to get a 1/2 point in UMD. I do have a few Items that will help increase UMD (head from reaver, greensteel item, and +6 CHA item). By the time I get to level 20, will I be able to use it for anything? Input would be appreciated.

I don't know the numbers as well as some, but you would be better off spending the skill points in tumble or balance or something. I do not think you could get your UMD anywhere near anything useful in 4 levels.

Mate, as previous poster said you would be better off using them for something else.
13 Int would get you 7 skill pts? a level. Using 6 skill pts get you 3 ranks a lvl, which will granted give you 12 ranks at lvl 20. Factor in GH, and a Greensteel item for Cha skills (bit of a waste on yon ranger) and you can possibly have it up to 22. Without knowing ur Charisma, but lets say you used it as dump stat, and have +2 tome, rounds it to 10, so no positive there. 22 Might get you equipping most lvl 15 items and popping off heal scrolls around 50 percent of the time, factor in ranger skill boost for an extra 5 if you have skill boost IV or better.

All all, wouldve been better staring from lvl 1, but your choice.

Yea, I came up with that number too. The only thing I could get out of it, is being able to wear the chaos guard bracers (im chaotic good) but I'm thinking its not worth it. I can use those points somewhere else. I needed to look into it anyway. Thanks for the input.
