Hey all,
Got destruction on my sovereign, but I can't see it fire in my combat log on hit with weapons. Nor does it show on examination of mobs after hit.
Thought it may proc on getting hit, but that doesn't seem to be the case either.
When I hit with my BPOD it shows on both combat log and examination window.
Anyone seen this?
Did a quicks search on known issues, didn't see it there nor here in the crafting forums.
Thanks in advance!

Did you take it off and put it back on before testing it? Or log off and log back in?

Yea I must have since I always take the armor off when updating with a new rune. I also updated tempest after the sovereign, finally got +5 prot. :)

Are you getting the blue 'painting' of an enemy when you strike it in combat?

Nope, don't recall seeing this either but I do know what you're talking about.
Course I haven't played in a couple days now because of some sort of server issues...
To answer the other question: Yes I've logged off and on to no effect.
The other part that concerns me is after hitting the mob, it doesnt seem "easier" to hit after the initial strike, as it does with the BPOD. Don't have any hard data unfortunately around attack rolls yet, thinking of gathering it though for a bug report.
I'd like to see first if anyone else has seen this with destruct on DT before filing.

Ok figured this one out.
Apparently the destruction property applies only to melee. Unfortunately it doesn't work on ranged weapons.
So my new question is, is this by design? We have ranged destruction weapons, why not apply the same mechanic in this situation for DT armor and/or BPOD.

I'd guess that it is a technical limitation. Destruction from a melee weapon, from a ranged weapon, from handwraps, and from a non-weapon are likely 4 different effects and interact in 4 different ways to reach the effect they produce, regardless of the fact that they share the name "destruction" for an effect.
