can multiclass x/monk use weapons?

i just wonder how can you use the monk abilities with weapons?
are you not becoming uncentered?

i mean weapons like khopesh or rapier

i see here and there builds like ranger/monk 14/2 planned to use khopesh or rapier

The only reason melee classes take 2 levels of Monk is for the Wisdom bonus to AC and/or Evasion, neither of which require you to remain centered. This follows PnP rules.

If they are a Cleric splash, they take the 2 levels of Monk for Eternal Ocean Stance, which does require you to be centered for the +2 WIS, +2 saves, which is also why Sup Pot 6/Spell Pen 7 kamas are so valued by these splash builds.

WIS bonus to AC still remains like it should. Its not against any rules in the first place.

Those Kama's are so rare, I am building GS kamas (one with the wiz bonus, the other with +40% healing type bonus), and plan on farming DQ to get the necklace (Greater Spell pen) rather than buy them...
