I did a little quest in the Harbor..... that said I was eligible for a dragonmark (I'm betting everyone is).... but I don't know where or how to get one. Is there a reason not to? Do most PCs have one?

You pick it as a feat at lvl up.

(Parts you know already added for reference)

How to become eligible:

Once per account, you need to talk to the quest giver next to the Harbor Auction House to get the "Hall of the Mark" quest, and complete the quest. This will give you a token to exchange one of your feats for a Dragon Mark. Fred, the House Jorasco Mindflayer, can swap your feats for you.

You can also take this quest - once - on any character for that free feat change token.

Whether to get one:

A dragon mark takes a feat, so you need to decide whether that is the best use for that feat (since you may have as few as six feats at cap, and a Greater Mark takes three feats - Least, Lesser, Greater).

thanks. Are any of them available? Are they worth it?

Only one or two marks are available per race (and none for Drow or Warforged).

You can browse the "Least Marks" here -->

For my part I've seen people use the the Marks of Shadow, Healing, and Passage most. The problem is the value of the feat you are passing up to to take the Mark.

Generally speaking, I do not think they are "worth the feat" but in some builds they can be really nice. I think the Healing Dragon Marks available to Halflings is the best, and by far the most universally useful. The Dragon Mark of Passage is situationally useful (Expeditious Retreat, Dimension door and Teleport). Saves on Scroll Uses for situational D-Door, an Teleport is good for getting around the city fast, but that is about it.

The Dragon Mark of Making is by far the least useful in my opinion and will never take it. Read up on what they do at each level, and decide for yourself.

hehe...only excuse I've been able to come up with so far to take Mark of Making is for a WF barbaraian's human repairbot on a second account ;)

Uh.. you're in a RP static group.. and you decide to play a house Cannith wizard for a WF party?

That's all I got.

Once you have Least Dragonmark (as a feat), how do you upgrade it?

Each dragonmark line consists of 3 feats, the least, lesser, and greater. These feats can be taken at levels, just like twf, metamagics, whatever else.
