help deciding to scrap my rogue

I've been away from ddo for over a year and need help knowing whether or not to scrape my rogue. She's level 13.1, has a dex of 19, what should her disable trap and search be for her class level

need more info before you decide to scrap your rogue, like was he/she str based or dex based. Disable, search, open lock should be fine if you max your ranks each level in those skills, and find level appropriate gear for those skills (usually available on any broker on any server). A +6 intel item, also readily available is all you really need to max your trapsmithing skills. I know you said youve been away for over a year, and in that time a lot has happened to the rogue class, most notably the PrE's (prestige enhancements). Trapsmithing really makes up such a small percentage of your time as a rogue that you need to look at your other options as one of the most versatile classes in the game. Hows your survivability (hit points, self sufficiency from UMD), your combat abilities, and if any of these two lag behind, are they fixable by visiting fred and from gear. After evaluating all these aspects of your rogue, base your decision on the big picture and not whether or not your trapsmithing is up to snuff.

Just my 2 cents, but I've been playing a rogue for quite some time, and I'm pretty good at it. My build is in my signature.

There's some brand new low level content, and you might enjoy seeing some of the low level stuff again as a refresher. You don't have to decide about your rogue's fate now. I'd suggest makin a new character and taking some time to catch up on what you've missed. You'll probably find the answer to your question about your rogue, and if not I bet your 13 rogue has more storage space than a level 1 mule would.

Welcome back to DDO. While you were away the developers stopped trying to pigeonhole the rogue class into the trapmonkey role. They realized that anything they came up with would only encourage 2 Rogue/1X Whatever builds to do the job better. So, in the meantime, they went and made the class more fun to play. You should really post more details about your character. Posting Race, Class Split, Base Stats, and what skills you invested skill points into would be a good start. :)
