Dust off that battle cleric I know we can do this...and just think, no waiting around for a cleric! Just make sure you have the majority of your levels in the cleric class. Im aiming for march 29th 8pm est.

Other advantage this Cleric shroud will have is that you should be able to move the Fiend in part 4, and will be able to use your Blade Barriers.

I had alot of fun too...Especially the part where a D Door appeared right in front of me as two portal keepers and those orthons almost had me! Still not sure who popped it but wow your timing was impeccable! Seriously thanks to everyone who joined us. Hopefully when the cap goes up I can maybe fight my way out of a paper bag then!

I just saw the message so yes i will be interested but i'm not at Shroud stuff yet. I might do it with the people i'm usually playing with.. I'm not ready yet either so it would be for the next time (if this ever happen again !)

Awesome Ive got 2 girls shroud ready that know the quests fairly well, I can swap between since Kalari is great for quests like rainbow in the dark ritual and sleeping dust. While Kam is a trooper for Col chamber and running.

Either way I hope this doesnt deter another all cleric shroud its just next time we need to assign who will do what before hand. Next time we each need to figure out what our cleric specializes in and focus to get that done. Kam isnt much of a fighter she can use bows when needed but shes more spell casting. I tried throwing up symbols and the like but wasnt enough to do much even weakening only hit some of the mobs. The next cleric build im working on is more utility so I may have to work on a battle cleric or work on getting Severi that way since shes collecting dust. Either way to all the clerics who did participate we did our best theres no shame in that some of us are so used to worrying about the party going down once we saw health bars dropping our instincts to heal up kicked in.

Either way great fun and you guys definitely helped me get buzzed.

Sorry to say, but thats the nature of the Beast when you PUG.

I have noticed, IMHO only here, that the quality of PUGs has dramatically decreased recently. If you are new to a quest, and no I don't mean you personally Kal, please be upfront and let people know.

Most of us will be glad to help you out your first time through. People that say stay with the group are not necessarily helping these newer people out.

How do you stay with the group in Shroud part 2 if you have no idea where/what you are doing? If you are unsure of something, just swallow your pride and ASK.....thats not too much to ask is it???

Yep I agree and I really need to play more period im as rusty as a piece of tin in saltwater lol Ive been playing a low level cleric on Thelanis and its been good training for low-mid range but ive got to remember what its like at high end with all the spells and the focus I put in her should have done way better then I did on that run.

Probably a good habit to get into for regular shroud runs too. I can't really understand why a cleric wouldn't beat the portals in most shroud runs.. the healing/instakilling is not so onerous that there isn't a significant amount of time available to help with the portals. It kinda bugs me when clerics just stand there, waiting to through a heal.

I feel your pain. Several of the people who signed up for my run were unable to make it. We were lucky that the people who ended up filling in were dedicated to get er done.

If you plan on running on elite, I STRONGLY suggest stocking up on any scrolls you can find that will do some sort of damage on Harry. I would also suggest if anyone can UMD MM/FM wands or ice storm should do so.

When I put together the first CLeric Shroud, I did it a bit differently which may have given us an advantage.

I didn't make an open post, What I did instead was approach clerics I already knew, and tried to even out between specc'd zappers, those who had killer BB and could stay alive, and those who swung a weapon. Also several Clerics switched out a feat or so to be better at melee or with an xbow--at this time you could not move Pit Fiend in part 4 reliably. I also requested that every cleric carry a vorpal. Solid Fog CLickies and Haste Clickies very important.

We ran first part just like a regular shroud run, 2 clerics stayed ahead to keep portals cleared-on hard or elitethis would cost a bit more as Clerics don't have ennervation and have to get tricky to land Destruction on an Orthon (make sure clerics have shattermantle weapons), for one part of map you would want to have 4 clerics perhaps to keep the 2 top portals clear dependin gon how the clerics are rolling-- DV love is good. The key is to keep those portals clear so that hopefully you don't see any devils or Orthons, which also means you wont see and Portal keepers. 10 clerics pounding on portals is not that bad--I should've taken a screen shot. Also now there a Clonks who duel wield vorpals and can clear quite effectively--I would try to include 3 clonks types on hard or elite, and maybe normal if I wanted to keep it cheap.

Part 2 is pretty easy regardless of setting as is part 3, you might however want to make sure you have at least one person who can single pull the devil in your group, if your lucky it will also be a cleric that can solo devil:)

It's not like it BB did awesome damage when we used it on part 5 of the normal run. We also have Mass Protect now, so the melee option could indeed be better--for our run, that spell wasn't available yet. Also, plenty of clerics have either crafted a greensteel Harry weapon, or picked up a nice weapon to hit Harry with-either get these people in your group, or have them borrow from friends.

Part 5 is more of the same if the BBs worked well for you they will work here, if not then youll have to try and melee him. Use solid fog clickies if meleeing.

If you choose to go the BB and spell route you will definitely have to use pots, in part 4 we even used a B-Day cake--we were down to 7 clerics fairly quick,--we also used one in part 5 after we got harry to 50%--with melee, perhaps a bit less pots would be used. A good part of part 4 was spent keeping one devil alive while waiting for the shrine to reset--don't think you'll be able to do this on hard or elite as of course shrines don't reset on harrd or elite, but maybe there is a bug I don't know about.

BB has one advantage as in you can get the fiend to move through it several times, in this aspect clerics could have an easier time of it then the sorcs whose spells are single shot.

You can stand in the spike thing in the corner near the sp pools that we clerics use, at the wall to keep from getting hit by blades.

I don't know how many pots I used--I can tell by my hotbar that I have 48 left, I think I used 25 but cant remember, and not all of us used those kinds of resources, as the leader I wanted to succeed and would've spent whatever it would take, some others felt this way as well. This was when I was playing on a laptop, I kiss my new pc every day:)

A good part of part 4 was spent keeping one devil alive while waiting for the shrine to reset--don't think you'll be able to do this on hard or elite as of course shrines don't reset on ahrd or elite, but maybe there is a bug I don't know about.

You can stand in the spike thing in the corner near the sp pools that we clerics use, at the wall to keep from getting hit by blades.

I don't know how many pots I used--I can tell by my hotbar that I have 48 left, I think I used 25 but cant remember, and not all of us used those kinds of resources, as the leader I wanted to succeed and would've spent whatever it would take, some others felt this way as well. This was when I was playing on a laptop, I kiss my new pc every day:)

Sadly, I can verify that the rest shrine Birthday Cake does not reset on elite. If only it were so.

I went on this last one but I was not signed up ahead of time and I dont think I was as prepared as I would have wanted either. For the next one I will definately pick up some more scrolls. I will get enervation, icestorm scrolls for sure. I had already picked up 10 searing light and 10 holy smite wands and I had two force missle wands. I would like to get another 15 or so 7th level mm wands for elite. Also I was just using +5 transmuting of pg for portal so I would send two vorpals and my anarchic of GCB's over to Rainy for the next one.

Hey Scrib,

I feel your pain. Several of the people who signed up for my run were unable to make it. We were lucky that the people who ended up filling in were dedicated to get er done.

If you plan on running on elite, I STRONGLY suggest stocking up on any scrolls you can find that will do some sort of damage on Harry. I would also suggest if anyone can UMD MM/FM wands or ice storm should do so.

I was shocked at the amount of HP Harry actually had on part 5 :eek:

I appreciate the advice and I will certainly take it to heart! I only hope we can get thru hard first before i even consider *shudders* elite.

I would also advise that any cleric who has never done a Shroud on Hard or Elite do so b4 attmepting the All Cleric Shroud on Hard or Elite--that way people will have a good idea of how much harder it is to land their spells, how many hits they can take from mobs, and if they are meleeing Harry how much damage they can do on eilte.
