Hey guys. I've decided to post this build I've been sitting on for close to 5 months now since monks came out. It's a Tempest Cleric with monk splash. It'll max in the 70's for AC and be able to match up to the DPS of most well built tanks. This build it a tank. It's not meant to be a party healer. He can self buff, self heal, and can tank with high DPS.

How to play this build:
This build is a slef healing tank. He will not be able to keep a party up, but will be able to at least keep himself buffed and healing. Fully geared out, he will have 100% healing, so no need to worry about healing ability. You'll need to keep Devine Favor, Devine Power and Recitation on. These will help you hit hard and more often.

You could go human with this build. You will lose 20 HP, but gain a feat and gain 1-7 AC. The downside is that you will be strapped for gear. You can go without the finge necklace, but you'll want to throw on the Delving boots from the dragon. Then you'll have to find a new place for a resist item, and a few other items.

EDIT:
As a side note, this build is all about static immunities and self healing. The only thing he is missing, is an SR item. I'm not too worried about that though. The most he will be able to hit will be a 22 with an item. That's not really enough to make a big difference at end game.

That's an interesting build, but I wanted to go WF for the PA optionsand static immunities. He's more about DPS, but he can fully self heal and is still able to maintain a high rate of DPS. The linked build will only be able to get high DPS within a party while flanking. This is more of a solo build.

ya val's build is more dex and stat/instakill vs your str and dps. i have been eyeing a ranger/cleric for a bit, for the solo purposes like you said. anyway, keep us posted on how it goes. looks very fun, cept for the tome grind. i like how your using 2 gs +2 exp stat weps. did you compare a dwarf version with DA's?

Yes. The reason I went with WF is because I want static immunities on him. He'll also have a little higher DPS because of the PA. I end up losing a few in AC because I can't use the icy raiments, but I gain a few inventory slots. That's kind of a big thing on this build. I have 1 ring slot open so you can really put anything you'll want/ need in there. You can always move around some gear. If you really need it, you can put on the crappy fear immunity ring that comes from the XC. The -2 will not really be that big of a deal. In fact, I am going to add that ring to this build. You can find the ring in Xorian Cipher (or buy it cheap on the auction house).

updated and fixed the DT armor so I don't double splash resist.

I like this build very much. I like Val's one too but they play very differently.

Can you put a to-hit breakdown too? With WF PA III and no OTWF there might be some issues. Recitation + Divine Favor + Divine Power = Win tho :).

I don't like not having extend as well on this kind of a build. How much SP do you have?

i dont kow the ins and outs of the cleric class, can you tell m why you put as much Charisma in the build as you did? since WF start so low, it seems like a lot of points to use to get it to 12. does it help with an enhancement or something?
