Okay,

This thread ties in with my one on making my Radiance II Rapier.

I just want to make sure I'm understanding what I'm reading in various places.

Please post corrections if you see errors from what I type below; I really don't want to screw up at these Altars making my Rapier.

Okay, so:

1) Gather ingredients from the Vale and five Vale quests along with the the five stones.

2) Complete the mini-quest in Meridia that combines the five stones into one for your Green Steel blank, and opens up the Shroud quest.

(For me this part is done. The followind is not)

3) Use ingredients found in the Vale and Vale quests, combine the right ones and make "Materials"

4) Still in Meridia, combine made "Materials" in right way to create a Green Steel blank.

5) Now, at the first Altar in the Shroud, combine found and required "Smalls" to make materials and charge Shards for my first step in making my Radiance II Rapier. Also add power cell.

6) Combine made "Smalls Materials, Shard and Power cell" to add my first effects and attribute for my Rapier.

Is that all correct?

And then of course rinse and repeat later on for the next Altars with medium ingrediants, and lastly, at the Altar of Devastation with larges...

Am I on the right track with what needs to be done? I really don't want to mess up.

Thanks again everyone.

P.S. Crafting makes me feel like such a newbie.

You are essentially correct.

One tricky part that causes some people near to blow a vessel is your tier 3 upgrade... The actual Radiance II Upgrade...

You must make 2 Imbued Supreme Power shards.

Once you have both of them made, you must COMBINE those 2 Shards

THEN you put the new Combined shard in the alter with your Rapier. If you put the 2 Imbuded shards in the alter withthe rapier, only one will get melded into the rapier. this is Bad bad bad.

Cool!

Thanks for that.

I'm a long way away from that day, but I am writing things down to refer to later on. That'll be a life saver.

Whew, I've got some questing to do for this.

No wonder people fly like lightning through the Shroud. They could probably run it in their sleep. Me, I've only been in there once. I'm just trying to keep up.

If it's your first time crafting, try to use a couple planners to make sure they give you the same directions, and double-check each one of your steps. Some mistakes can't be reversed.
