Shard/Effect Replacement

Okay,

Had this question asked to me today and I don't know the answer.

With a GS weapon a character combines the Shard of Power to get Tier 1 effect. However they discover that the effect was not what they were planning on getting.

Can they combine the GS weapon with another Shard to replace the Teir 1 effect with a different Tier 1 effect?

Create a new blank and start over.

One of the major drawbacks of our "Crafting" system IMO. No Do over, no Deconstruction.

At least we got the Do over ont he DT armor...
