so a wile back i tryed to do this but did not do so well. i talked to some people and i found out some tips from people and now im askin for a 2ed chance. all i need to know is the following stuff
-28 or 32 point build
-how meny tomes or raid geer u want the toon to need
-*optional* what race-class u want

so, I have been working on a build for a while, then I saw a build called the iron monk, witch is fairly similar to what I have been wanting to do, but am haveing trouble with the character builder.

my build would be War Forged, and would use power attack (with the WF enhancements) and CE, removeing only IMP crit as far as feats go.

stats would change a little to
12 16 12 12 13 10
at start, and i think requires 3 +1 and 1 +2 tome but might benefit greatly from a second +2, but dont realy want to base it on that

the problem i am haveing is
A. it dosent see to have any way to add equipment
B. I cant get it to save or post it to forums, I think its becouse of firewall and security settings of the computer (not my own) that I am useing.

I dont know that I will be able to talk any of you into running it into a character planner yourself, tho that would certainly be optimal, maybey some of you know the race and class well enough to quickly plot out what would be lost in AC and regained in hp

I think the +2 wf ac from the plateing mostly makes up for the race and dex mod I will be loseing, but im not sure how it comes out with equipment, as ive neer run a WF and dont realy know what gear is available or how it works/stacks

enhancements are to include toughness, saves, PA boost and potentialy the hate boost

ok so this build i rolled up and atm im loveing it. the only things u need to buy are pots and the weps you can pick up in quests. Hes MAX dps thow u will need new mod to finnish power attack lines. For the not being a mana spunge i put some umd in there hopeing that as u get higher up you can get sevin finger gloves and get a shroud crafted item and you can cast self reconstructs. You dont have to go umd but it is some thing i did and atm im at lvl 4 and have about a 65% shot w/ cure mod wands. here he is *it does not say that he has umd but you just need to MAX UMD ALL OUT though the lvls i did not that on charicter gen just to save some time*

Disclaimer: Chadman, I am not bashing your skills at building just trying to help you see a little more of what people are asking of you. If you are going to offer a service to the community please try and not half-arse what you are doing for them. :)

I read what Chadman posted for you. In my opinion I would not roll what he has suggested because:

1- You are not going to be unable to pick up the Berserker enhancement with 4 levels of Fighter.

2- There is absolutely no self-sufficency in using pots for everything, and UMD will not be high enough with only Barb and Fighter levels.

I have rolled this build myself as a 32 pointer but I made it into a 32 point buy here for you. I think that it will provide you with a little closer to what you are looking for.

The basis is to be able to DPS with Greataxes and be ready to pick-up the Berserker when Mod 9 comes out. You can get him leveld fast and get the Imp Crit rage before mod 9 if you desire. This build has enough UMD to self-heal and scroll almost anything it wants therefore is quite self-sufficient.

I didn't take much time to break everything down completely and didn't take much time for enhancements either as I am on my lunch break lol! If you are interested in this build I can do a more thorough breakdown of final stats and final skills. I do believe however you would be much better served end-game with this build or a similar type.

ok so with the umd thats why i gave him the choice. i have seen a umd barb work very well being able to heal its self in combat when not raged.

with the extra fighter lvls thank you for pointing that out i forgot about the capstones comeing out.

i like the 2 fighter lvls on builds you can get some nice stuff and not lose much at all.

Here is a diff verson of the build in non umd and only 2 lvls of fighter for cap stone *fighter over rouge because he said he wanted max dps.

Not to get nit-picky here ChadMan, but your builds arent exactly... "finished".

Youre building characters for people and you either sidetrack from what the person wants or you forget to put things into your planners.
For example; your last proposal you left out skill rank progression.

Also, maybe you can add additional breakdowns that cant be calculated(fully) in a planner like;

Hps
Ac
Skills
Casting Dc's
Suggested Playstyle
Etc.
Im not saying at all that you should stop this service, but maybe you could put a little more effort and/or research into your ideas before rushing into a planner. I hope you take my comments as constructive criticism, hopefully people will be alot more pleased with the outcome of their character when you put a little more TLC into your service.

I've been looking around and I'm sure there is something already posted but there is so much to dig through that I've become overwhelmed. :(

I'm looking for a basic caster build that is a solid melee also (at least for early levels). I have been playing with an idea for a monk/sorcerer but am not sure what a good mix would be and even if that would be a good idea. I'd like it to be able to nuke well in end game but still be able to hold their own in melee if they need to. Could I get some advice on this please?

Edit: oops I forgot to mention that I do have 32 point builds available.
