Magic spells that mimic, create or enhance weapons as well as spells that excite hostile emotions are extended, while charms and pacifisms are impeded.[/B] Whirling blades travel the plane like flocks of birds seeking out non-native inhabitants and attacking them.

So here's my understanding--
You can't Charm, Dominate, or Suggest monsters in Mod 9 content.
But the tradeoff is Paladins get Holy Sword extended! (Okay, maybe this isn't a tradeoff.)
What is a bard to do?

[QUOTE}Shavarath the Battleground, is a region ever gripped in the throes of war as three groups vie for control of the plane, a host of celestial archons, an infernal reginment of devils and a swarming horde of demons. Forever in a rough balance of power each of the three factions lay siege to one anothers fortresses only to loose their own holdings on other fortresses in the process. Beyond these fortresses the plain stretches infinitely, with low hills providing the only terrain feature. The plane is aligned by territory. Those areas held by the archons are mildly good and lawfully aligned while those areas held by devils are mildly evil and lawfully aligned and that held by the demons is mildly chaotic and evil aligned. Could it just mean a saves modifier when those spells are used?
Hopefully they wouldn't put mass charm monster back in the game only to have it useless in the new content.
Sleet storm tends to excite hostile emotions among your fellow party members...does that mean it will be extended?
Any chance I can read that interpretation so that rages last longer? Am I reaching now?

Is this wiki put out my a Turbine employee? I don't deny that I have a feeling bards will be in for a tough mod in mod 9, but lets get the facts straight Turbine is the DM and they can put in whatever they want for a mod..

They're just impeded, which basically means roll Caster Level+d20 to see if the spell can work.

Spells boosted on Shavarath would be:
1. Hostile Emotions: Rage, Heroism
2. Create Weapons: Holy Sword, Blade Barrier
However, DDO hasn't followed that rule so far. Instead, visit the Shavarath room of POP to see what free buffs you get.

Hmm... I think I like the above interpretations a lot more than my own.

Really? Even if it is the case, I fail to see how following the Lore of the game is in any way a "Nerf"

What would be cool is if Shadow Walk somehow prevented the blades from detecting you. :) It would be a way to make an unused spell quite useful... I mean it IS sorta messin' with the Planes and all. If the new Mod is on the Plane of Shavarath and Shadow Walk transports you to the border of the Material and the Shadow Planes, doesn't that mean you are no longer on the Plane of Shavarath? ;)
Transports you to the edge of the Material Plane where it borders the Plane of Shadow. While this spell is active, you move much faster than normal and your outline appears faint and you are harder to hit. Attacking another creature or otherwise interacting with objects shunts you back to the Material Plane.

Permanent whirling blades would prove annoying and heal scroll expensive ...
Good thing the next mod is not coming Soon (tm), so I can save up ...
