I think i like the Top Build better. My Toon is already at Lvl 6 Ranger btw.

Edit:

Also can someone give me a AC breakdown on both builds just from the Stats. Im not sure how to do this. Im not sure which Favored Enemies to chose also so help with that would be cool to.

What's the 3rd level of Fighter for in the lower build? I'm not quickly thinking of a reason that Ranger 12/Fighter 2/Monk 2 wouldn't be clearly superior.

Since you're a Finesse build, I'm pretty sure I'd lean toward Ranger 12/Fighter 2/Monk 2. The DPS on these paths seems likely to be very similar, but you should have slightly better to-hit and non-trivially better AC on the mostly-Ranger path.

However, once you take a step down THAT path, you should really consider Ranger 14/Fighter 1/Monk 1. This gives up two feats, +1 STR enh, +1 WIS enh, and Monk "centered" bonus, but sets you up to qualify for Tempest III some day (Ranger 18/F1/M1), which is *probably* a huge increase in DPS (I don't think they've announced *exactly* how the extra attack works yet, though).

My reasonable guess at the stats (@ 16):

Fighter 8 path:
DEX: 17 base + 2 Ranger enh + 2 Halfling enh + 2 Tome + 6 item + 4 level bumps = 33
WIS: 13 base + 1 Monk enh + 2 Tome + 6 item = 22
no other bonuses

AC contribution: 11 + 6 = 17

Ranger 12 path:
DEX: 17 base + 3 Ranger enh + 2 Halfling enh + 2 Tome + 6 item + 4 level bumps = 34
WIS: 13 base + 1 Monk enh + 2 Tome + 6 item = 22
additional Tempest AC of +1

AC contribution: 12 + 6 + 1 = 19

So I believe the Ranger 12 path offers 2 more points of AC.

EDIT: Actually, the Ranger 12 path will often offer a total of 4 more points of AC, because you can self-Barkskin for 5 instead of just 3 off a potion.

As to favored enemies, I am totally unqualified to answer that, because I'm not expert on the enemy breakdown in the end-game, but I can echo what I've read: Undead, Evil Outsiders, Giants seem to be very popular choices.

for the mostly fighter build, If they end up taking away Monk ac bonus basicly the 2 lvls would be for Evasion then, for the mostly ranger build if they take away the ac bonus the toon will be ruined . .

Am i missing a Tempest II somewhere? people always say Tempest Feat(s)**

Im not plannign on Being a "Centered" Monk either, I plan on wearing Light Armor and dual Rapiers. :)

On the other hand i could get Storm Stance and use Kama's to make attack speed even greater? or will it not stack?

That would be such a fundamental change AND departure from P&P that I think planning for it is too conservative. I can't guarantee it won't happen, but I also can't guarantee they won't take away the Tempest line entirely if they lose their minds...

Am i missing a Tempest II somewhere? people always say Tempest Feat(s)**

Yes, Mod 9 brings Tempest II (at Ranger 12) and Tempest III (at Ranger 18). Look for Eladrin's reveal thread on those.

Don't think you can justify wearing armor on either build. Your AC should be MUCH higher (at higher levels anyhow) without it:

7 armored bracers [8 exists but on with a race restriction]
11 dex (or more with mostly-Ranger plan)
6 wis
--
+24

vs.

10 (from +5 Mithral Breast Plate)
5 (max dex bonus of +5 MBP)
2 Chaosguards (*maybe*)
--
+17

Not even a little bit close. Putting on a suit of armor costs you a minimum of 7 points of AC. (Intuitive, huh? :))

Dual rapiers is fine -- the AC bonus still works in that case. But I do expect them to change THAT since the very name of the bonus is "centered" -- seems to be a bug to me.

On the other hand i could get Storm Stance and use Kama's to make attack speed even greater? or will it not stack?

Wind Stance I think you mean, which probably is useful in some situations. But good Rapiers should result in way higher DPS most of the time.

Edit: Tempest (competence bonus as of Mod 9) and Wind Stance (partly Insight bonus; partly Enhancement bonus) do stack, but the exact nature of boost stacking is still the subject of a hairy investigation that cforce is leading and I am helping out with. :)

Dual rapiers is fine -- the AC bonus still works in that case. But I do expect them to change THAT since the very name of the bonus is "centered" -- seems to be a bug to me.

The problem with that thought is Centered was created by Turbine and tied to Flurry of Blows. The only thing a Monk using non-specific weapons looses is the attack speed boost from Flurry. There's nothing anywhere to indicate they should loose their AC bonus when utilizing other weapons. It's much more likely that they simply needed a name to attach to the bonus that'd allow it to stack and "Centered" sounds Monkish.

Tempest (Preview) (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=168667)

Something to keep in mind is we don't know if there'll be any way other than Tempest 3 to obtain Superior Two Weapon Fighting. Not trying to discourage you from Multi-Classing, but I'd really wait for the new Mod to before getting to attached to a new build...There's just way to much information we don't have access to at this point.

the thing is that when i started this toon he was going to be the iron monk build, but i didnt like some of the feats that build had so switched it up a bit, so basicly he has the 14 wis for the ac bonus, but is lvl 6 rngr, so i can either delete and say screw the 5 tomes i ate or try to make it work out.

so is tempest 2 and 3 going to give additional 10% making the total 30%? (Stacks) or are they going to just give 2 more ac total?

if the attack speed doesnt stack i can live without 2 and 3 tbh . .

attack speed doesn't stack and honestly 12 ftr 6 ranger 2 monk will be a very solid build i have one at 8/6/2 currently and he gets a 65 ac selfbuffed.

It's just the one speed boost for Tempest. However, Tempest three offers the equivelent of Superior TWF.
