I have a bard that I started as a hagglebot. He is currently L7. Because I put everything into CHA without much consideration on the rest of the character he is pretty useless at most everything.
I'm wondering about multiclassing him over to sorcerer. I could get him to L13 as a sorc when the level cap goes up. My thoughts were to fill a support role with limited offensive spell selections. Here is what I am thinking about:
Magic Missile, Nightshield, Jump, Shield, Knock, Resist Energy, Protection from Energy, Web, Halt Undead, Force Missiles, Invisibility, Repair Serious Damage, Solid Fog, Break Enchantment, Rage, Wall of Fire, Cloudkill, Acid Fog, Stoneskin, True Seeing, Feeblemind
Please help!
Thanks

This is going to be a gimp buffer, nothing else. Reroll. Level 7 is almost nothing anyway. When you will be level 20, the mobs will resist/save against your offensive spells like there is no tomorrow.

Check this recent post from Junts, coulld be perfect for you. A max charisma spellsinger, that can be good at buffing, haggling, crowd control, have some healing and can contribute in melee with stat damage, vorpal, etc

What's wrong with a max CHA bard? Bards are spell-casters... Get the Spell-Singer enhancement and be a casting bard...
Buff the party, set up crowd control (glitterdust, dancing ball, hold spells). Charm the heck out of everything and build an army to fight for you.
Get some healing enhancements, max out UMD and help heal.
If you think you need to contribute more, get a repeater and plink away from the back (paralyzer and cursespewer repeaters are awesome).

Dont multiclass to sorcerer! It would kill any chance at being an asset to a group you join.
Then, what Thrudh said.
