Asketes

I am interested in changing my forum name. I have contacted Turbine TWICE, at the advice of customer service representative Victorie. Both times they have NOT responded to my request. I waited a week or more between each request before attempting again.
I would be very much appreciative to have my forum name changed to: Asketes
Here is my original thread post in the Account Management Assistance moderated Forum:
When I made my DDO account, I was throughly convinced I would never, ever ever, use the forums; much less start threads and such. Thus, I used an old alias, that no one here would know..
Now that I have decided to stay, and become active in the Community, I wanted to use the name my main toon uses in-game.
How do I go about changing General_Bob to my ingame main toon?
Here is the answer I received from Customer Service Rep Victorie:
You'll need to submit a request to the Forum Admins for that. I recommend sending an email via the form here. (here is a weblink to: http://turbine.fuzeqna.com/turbinesupport/consumer/kbdetail_qaonly.asp?kbid=21&ao=t)
I submitted the form to email a message to a forum administrator/moderator AND a request at support.turbine.com
PLEASE HELP ME! I have a solid reason, and want, to have my handle changed.
Thank you for your time,
-Asketes

Yep I'm in the same boat as you. I have sent PMs to both Tolero and Tarrant in hopes to change my name.
However, I was looking at the LOTRO forums earlier and it says something along the lines of for the time being, changing your name on the forums is temporarily available.
Although, I don't know if that has anything to do with our forum.

I have checked recently and double checked with your post
Thanks for the help though, I really appreciate your concern!
It's an ancient Greek word, that doesn't even exist anymore, I doubt anyone has ever heard the word before, or knows the meaning.

Asketes: From the Greek, meaning to inquire of an alien life form. Ask....E....T's..........
Although my Big Book Of Every Freaking Word Ever Dude also shows a secondary meaning, that of a feline/mule hybrid.........

OMG that's funny.
It's what the word ascetic is derived from originally, but with a religious aspect intertwined.
Think of the humble monk who lives off the land while travelling and keeping to himself in search of divine wisdom and holy interaction with the world and the people
AND NO---> not a Mormon or Jehovah's Witness.. (not even Christain :D)
Just spiritual in nature not religous in my eyes!

The easiest way to check is to go to advanced search and type in the name. If it comes up as an auto-complete, then the name has been taken.
The owner of the name has never made a forum post, which is why you probably couldn't find it.

hmm i thought because it's said "sorry no matches" that the name didn't exist..
then i tried the plat farmer technique, typed in random letters XD, and it said invalid user
What a bummer...
1) i bet you the player doesn't exist anymore
2) what a tard if he used such a name and didn't plan on actually using it
3) only the 3rd time i've seen the name originate from something other than an education or vocabulary source
4) lame
i guess i shall accept defeat on that one... still lame though (i can see common names being taken, but this is a longshot... oh well it happens right?
TOLERO,
in that case please use: PermaRaged

WAIT A MINUTE
I own the forum name Asketes
That's my trial account!
Hopefully a DEV will see this and ask me to provide proof (screenshot of myaccount.turbine.com should suffice)
And help me get it swapped over!
Thanks!
