I announced this on DDOReports.com a few days ago, but I wanted to see how well it worked, and get some comments. I think that it is ready for a wider audience. I've been playing with Yahoo Pipes, and have come up with some feeds that I'm finding very useful, and thought that the rest of the community might as well.

The first is a Dev Tracker feed. Willphase created a GREAT one, but he had problems with his server, and then after I was helping host it, we ran into problems again. This one is hosted completely by Yahoo, so hopefully it is a bit more bullet-proof.

If you want to see the pipe code, you can here:

On there you can create widgets or get a different output ther than RSS.

The second one is a more general feed. I have included the Dev Tracker feed as well as feeds from gaming sites, as well as a Google Alert feed. I have attempted to filter out spam, but there is still only so much I can do when one of the search terms is three letters.

If you want to check out the source, you can find it here:

I hope that you find them useful. I'm going to try to keep them up to date, so that if anything changes they will remain viable. If anyone has any comments or suggestions, send them my way. Hopefully together we can make this resource even better.

If we can ever get a game data API, Pipes could be REALLY useful for doing fun things with the data. I'm still hoping (but not expecting) that the Super Secret is just that. I can't wait for crunchy data.

Nice job Ustice! I've been missing the devtracker RSS ever since the server(s) went down/died... never had a place to host it since, so it's good that you've stepped up to the plate to provide the community with this service.

The source is completely open, so if you or anyone has suggestions for improvement, you can make better. I was really surprised with how easy it is to do this sort of thing with Yahoo Pipes.

with this I can add the bullet points to my iGoogle page? I hunted for a google gadget that was associated with D&D, only TSR stuff, and whatnot. But, with this I can add a Dev tracker on homepages? Even myspace? ;)

Yes. If you go to the pipe itself (http://pipes.yahoo.com/ustice/ddo_dev_tracker) you will see Get as a Badge. Click on that, and choose the option that you want. For Myspace, or other services not listed, select Embed, and follow the directions.

You can also get the DDO Reports one from any Twitter gadget. I keep everything listed in there that is important (usually) and then some. If you can't find one, let me know, and I will try to track one down.

I'm a moron, heh, I thought the picture in the lower left was a stack of flip-flops. I was thinking, 'Why is there a picture of flip-flops here?', I thought it was an ad.

Nice, I will love having that.
Thanks for the work!

Have you figured out a way around the dev posts that are in secured areas? I notice on both of ours its not posting the content, just the title. I'm not even sure if we are allowed to post that to the general public. I think I know a way around it on my end, not sure how you are implementing yours.

(For me, I'm pretty sure I'm wiping my cache every time before it goes to check for updates, I did this for some reason or another, but if I do away with it, I think it will remember my login from IE, then just pull the pages)
