Benevolence, for what is it good?

I have Superior Devotion items to assist with Cures. I am aware that Potency effects both offensive and defensive spells, therefore unfortunately, Superior Potency items are way too popular and thus too rich for my blood.

I do, however, have a fairly high percentage Benevolence item or two. However, I have no idea what spells (if any) Benevolence effects.

Benevolence affects good/light spells. I believe this consists of Holy Smite, Searing Light and Nimbus of Light. It might also affect your other alignment spells, but I doubt it. Holy Smite is pretty good until you get past level 10 or so. The blindness effect is nice beyond that, but the damage is lackluster.
