Sorry bud you find stuff like this in the d brokers all the time. Might get 20k tops out of it.

He probably didn't know that vorpals reqiure a confirmed 20 not a crit. Meaning the scimatar is nothing special for a vorpal

vorpal crit on a 20 chops off head
slowburst crits on a 15 to 20 or 13 to 20 slowing the creature down so you can chop off its head
i was more interested in the combo effect being maxed and both useful.
but then again i know some people really get a kick at running half way across the room to make a kill as the dude is running way.

I haven't had the chance to play with slowburst at higher levels, so not sure how useful it would be. My preferred vorpal effects are high crit range enfeebling and pure good... sometimes shattermantle is nice too.

Slowburst has a save attached to it and only lasts 18 seconds (due to being a caster level 3 slow). Even if you get slowburst to go off it will have trouble landing on critters by the time the weapon is usable.

Yeah, i use a +5 flaming burst rapier of slowburst on my rogue occasionally and it goes off less than lightning strikes.

I think slowburst has a pretty low DC check (Will 15ish? can't remember exactly...) in order for the target mob to be affected which is pretty easily overcome by high lvl mobs.

So as Cow mentioned, that particular combo really doesn't do much to add value. In fact, it probably even lowers the value of the vorpal as it raises its min level. :/
