Hey everybody,
I am currently leveling my "NEW AND IMPROVED" WF Barbarian.
I currently have a capped WF Barb which I made several "mistakes" with. He is still very productive and effective but I want to have my "perfect" barbarian.
My "replacement" is lvl 10 now. I am considering taking 2 Rogue levels for evasion but am not sure of the pros outweigh the cons.
My new barb is an intimidate machine. I have good DR, good STR/CON/DEX. I am searching for a +2 DEX and INT tomes in case I do decide to go through with it.
What do you all think about adding evasion to him?
Thanks in advance.

I think you should wait until the capstone is known, so you have an idea of what you will be giving up.

This is why I am asking now. We already know about Frenzy, Bezerker or whatever. I'm not sure I want to give up Crit Rage, so I am planning on progressing in that direction.
This guy is a 2-hander, nothing against TWF just not my personal playstyle. I have a WF Wiz/Rogue with evasion and enlightned reflexes and he is a blast to play. Nice to take significantly less damage than others due to Evasion and sick saves.
I am just considering making this guy more survivable and less of a mana sponge. I tell clerics/casters to not worry about healing/repairing me after fights and usually can take care of myself during a fight. He does not have what his "big brother" will have for HP, but he has a higher STR so will do more DPS to make up for it.
I already have several GS items in the bank waiting for him, so he will be well geared when he gets to the apropriate level.
I'll add the tomes and see if Eladrin releases any more info before the MOD drops. Hopefully he won't be past 14 before then.

just an fyi, if you want damage, then you'll want to take frenzy over crit rage. So no big rush on the leveling.
without going frenzy or double frenzy you'll be doing about 10% less by swapping to a crit multiplier over crit rage on a natural 20 weapon. But gain the ability for a significant boost above that when you want to double frenzy. In addition to that, you'll also have 3 more tiers of what ever percent it is for glancing blow effects to proc.
My personal opinion is to scrap the crit rage unless you enjoy using stat damaging on crit weapons. Overall frenzy is the better choice for damage.

oh and yes, wait for the capstone before splashing, one or two more weeks cant hurt
considering they dont have many previews left to dish out, whats left? ranger/fighter/barb capstones, and another fighter pre, or a lvl 9 spell list

As you are a THF barbarian, what is your current Ref-Save?
Evasion wont do you any real good if your Ref-Save is too low to make it work reliably.

Yes, I am a THF Barbarian. I just aquired a +2 DEX tome to put my DEX at 22. I realize that is not terribly high, but high enough to help some.
I do agree with what you are saying Black, thats why I am considering my options now. I do like the Frenzy so far, I guess I will just get to 14 and put him on the shelf until I know for sure.
