TURBINE NOTICE: Has polar ray been nerfed?

If so, why and when?

I was running the shroud the other day on my lvl 16 sorcerer with my potency sickle and my charisma sickle and for some reason the wizard not only got more kills than me but also killed the Pit Fiend on both occasions. How is it possible for someone to kill the big red guy before I can? I was spamming polar ray at him the entire time during part 5. Did you nerf my polar ray? Why don't I have the most kills? Is this a bug? If so can you please fix it?! I always get the most kills and this problem is making me lose sleep.

polar ray is really useless on the trash mobs. instead use pk or fod. with heightened, spell pen and focus, the devils should be easy to get, orthons too (enervate helps). the reason your sorc sux is because of the number of feats needed to power up the instant kills. that said, the wizard is likely to have more spell slots, keeping his sp for nukage in the last 2-3% to nuke with a combination of spells rather than you wasting all your sp doing nothing relying only on polar ray. 1 trick monkey....

Your sorc is Lawful Good. The mobs in the Shroud are Lawful Evil. The wizzy who outkilled you must have been Chaotic Good. We all know that Chaotic Good toons have bonus damage against Lawful Evil mobs.
