Hiya all!
I've bought an Air-Card (Sierra-Wireless 880E, if anyone interested) for my laptop to have an opportunity to play DDO when I'm not home, which happens a lot....
I was wondering...The game is not playable for some reason during hours 8PM-12AM, which are obviously 'happy hours'. Rest of the time game connects very well, has no problems (apart from Turbine-invoked :P). Well, during these hours I still can connect to internet, just DDO has issues with it. My home network works fine at any hours with the game. Can any of you advise me how can I try to override this problem?
I run Win Vista (mostly clean - no connection interfering s/w) SP1, on Dell Inspiron 1525 with UAC off.
I did forward all my ports, manually referred DNS servers, and what-not. My ISP can't give me static IP, which I think would help. Please, share with me you thoughts how can this be repaired..

I have the Sierra Wireless 1xEV-DO (http://www.sierrawireless.com/product/mc5725.aspx) which is an older and slower version than your card (http://www.sierrawireless.com/Product/AC880E_AC881E.aspx) and I can play DDO without any issues on that wireless card under Windows XP.

Equipment wise you should be able to play just fine. It may be a bad card, old drivers, poor wirelss signal, or ISP problems thats causing problems.

Good luck.

i really hope someone will see this. I still have this problem. Changed to static IP, gave me the same - so I switched it back to dynamic. I have a couple-of-months-old conversation with ISP techs on a daily basis (I had a beer with half of them), and nothing seems to help. If any of techs here can see this - please tell me what can you do to check it out? maybe a NAT address? name of the ISP? anything at all?
I am positively sure this is some kind of misunderstanding between my ISP (which happens to be Israeli) and DDO game servers, as this is obviously connection problem. Any further tips will be appreciated.

To remind you: I get 'chat server connection failed' when I log on during evenings and weekends (@ +2 GMT). Every time I travel between instances I may be stuck forever in loading screen.

List of things I've tried
-Changed IP from dynamic to static
-Port forwarding all the way to FedEx Boston
-Manual connection to my ISP servers (clean connection, no port blocking)
-manual DNS settings

List of things I may try
-Downgrade to WinXP (can't see how it will help)
-Downgrade to calculator as my PC of choice
