Sitting on the mountain side watching the sun come up over the Vale Valley. Impressive.
The flesh door quest entrance of CO6. I would like to have a dollar for every picture taken of a toon in front of that door.
Kolbolds New Ringleader. The best thing about a reroll, I love that quest no matter how many times I have run it.
A Cry for Help. Simply hilarious narration, sure to put a smile on my face.
The flying Red Dragon of the VON. Breath taking.
Cone of cold cast on a trailing group of Hobgoblins. Crystalized.
All those piles of gold in the TOR. Greed over takes us all.
These are just a small sample of the Great work Turbine has done with DDO, and that is this threads focus.
The Best of DDO. Those listed are some of MY personal favorites. Peace out all :)

Ahh, the good old days. Way back in the day with the very first Braegan capped at level 10 when being a fighter was good. A 40 AC and a +2 holy burst long sword was all you needed. *sigh* I miss those days...

I am kinda partial to the ads that Turbine makes, but that is because I use them for my videos. :)

First time magical experiences in DDO:
1) First time running an encounter area (the Cerulean Hills). Still one of my favorite areas of the game.
2) Back when Level 10 was the cap and I got my first Retribution and tried it out... and felt my jaw drop to the floor at the sight of all those numbers!
3) About 2 months after launch, soloed waterworks for the first time and felt like I had pwned the game... yeah, good times, good times...

There are many! Not sure I can pick one
The first time I saw a giant (wow) !
A recent shroud run, clerics are dead, so is most everyone else, I am last melee standing. Harry and I are both down to our last HP, I try but can't take potions fast enough so I just swing away as the blades close in. At the very last second lightning strike goes off, Harry falls, and the crowd goes wild!
Gary Gygax narrating Delera's
I was blinded early in STK, no one could fix me, and we were playing weird guild rules so I couldn't recall. I ran the whole thing by map, except mainly I fell off stuff and got stuck on walls and we all laughed and laughed.
There are a lot more! I love this game

I've had many awsome experiences in this game but the first had to be the first quest, the first time you run it, under the tavern, when you do that thing with the alter and the dungeon starts to rumble and you think it's going to collapase if you dont get out. I really thought I had to get out, then I get to the door and the madman attacks me. That quest made a good first impression on me but it's gone now. Almost 3 years later, I'm still here paying my monthly fees and playing faithfully.[/QUOTE]

We all assumed someone else got it, but if you get you can get any extra end reward." http://home.att.net/~cdbd3rd/evilgrin.gif

Most awesome sight was standing at the pitchers mound and panning up towards velah for the first time. I still have 3 year old screen shots of that...incredible.

1 - Seeing Velah for the first time.
2 - First time in Threnals and seeing that giant running around the corner.
3 - First time Waterworks completion. Was THE series of quests to do for XP back in the day.
4 - When lvl cap was 10 and a flaming weapon was uber.

Agree with all of the above and sooooo much more, could list a ton of them.
I posted this in another thread so i'll just give the quick version:
Imagine, all of those experiences, you know the ones that leave you breathless, squeaking like a little girl, calling in family from other room, practically having tears in your eyes, and messes in your pants.....
And two years later, upgrading to a new computer...one which allows you to play on ultra high settings rather than low....
I feel like i've experienced these sensations twice, even tho they are years apart. Every day, even now i still see something ive never seen before, or seen so well.
Thanks DDO.

Maybe I'm just "too mature" or a stick in the mud, but what exactly is so fun/funny about deliberately ruining someone's good time? I'm sure everyone will just flame me or tell me to get a sense of humor, but I really don't understand the appeal of doing this to people.
