Anyone know the AoE for rage? The compendium states "Target", but whenever I cast on another player, I get rage as well. When I look in the examination window, said other player is there, but I still get raged. Is everyone getting rage. I am a 16 lvl bard, and try to hit those that ask, but I dont want it to hit everyone...anyone else notice this?
Thanks for reading, and responding.

The AEO is a circle, roughly the size of your haste circle. It then hits the person you targetted plus additional people within that circle until it maxes at 1 person per level. Easiest way to get a feel for it is have a dummy stand there for you and just keep raging him as you walk back until you see you don't hit yourself anymore.

That said... rage is good on many casters, free HP and you AC probably sucks anyway.

I dont mind the rage as I'm a bard, but i suspected some others in the group would not want it. Thanks for the quick reply.

Let me be the first to say "thank you"! I *hate* it when folks debuff me with an unannounced Rage. Add <5% to my damage output in exchange for doubling my incoming damage taken? No, thanks!

Rage is a buff for many folks, but is somewhere between and minor and a crippling debuff for many melee builds! Announcing it before you cast is greatly appreciated!

As a caster I'm a big fan of standing back from the group and saying "rage on me". That way people AFK for 30 seconds don't get accidentally raged, someone has to deliberately walk into my path.

Seems like this should be a target specific spell, would avoid a lot of de-buff/ AC loss to those that dont want it. For future runs, I'll step back and announce on me and those that want will step over. Thanks for the tips!

Rage doesnt work like haste, it only hits up to 5 people at lvl 16. Not sure if it ever hits less than 5, but almost 100% sure its less than 6 even for a maxed level caster.

My bad...you're right, which is in raids why sometimes you need to cast a second time.

Sometimes a lot more than that, unfortunately. On portals no reason for everyone to not be raged; but just because you target someone that missed the first cast, doesn't mean that the other four hit are different than the first four. Extremely odd spell unfortunately :(

in shroud part 1, i generally asked who doesnt need rage to stand away, cast it and ask who missed it and i'll centre another one. if there are still some who did not get it, i'm not going to redo it. that sp is better spent clearing the trash mobs
