Being reported as a gold spammer

Another player reported me as a gold spammer. I'm not a gold spammer and I'm wondering if his error will have any negative influence on my account.

i would imagine that if someone reports you as a gold spammer, and they look at your chat logs, if they don't find any evidence of you spamming people to sell gold..... that their account should recieve some kind of negative reaction for submitting a false report.

spam reports are confidential, how do you know he did that. If he sent you a tell, I would have reported him for griefing and taken a screenshot of the chatbox. If you were contacted by a GM then all you can do is have him check your tell and chat logs, which if you are not a plat farmer would be fairly obvious.

Did your tell to that player contain the price you are selling plat for?

If not I think you are safe.

Arko, it might have been a situation where a player accidentally hit the report button. Perhaps they were sending a tell, but their hand got buped by a roving cat or something. If that happened to me I'd have sent the player a tell straight away letting them know what happened

Nothing will happen. I report Nick as a plat spammer on a daily basis. :D

Or a farmer has your account info and is making alts and sending out tells, and I think if you delete a char before the GMs see the spam report they cant find the person, as I'v sent in alot of spam reports for farmers but there back everyday.

And trials cant send tells, and most farmers dont have enough income to waste $15 any time they want to spam for a day.


But I dont know how it realy work, but it sure seems that way though.

Anything of this nature is thoroughly researched by the GMs. If you're not actually selling gold/plat/whatever, then I wouldn't worry about it.
