COOL GREAT amazing.... HOW the FRAG do you do the maze solo....

I love that quest i know all the puzzles I love to use it level up new characters, i realyl enjoy it and soem of them coudl easly go godo XP soloing it, btu how did you do the maze.....

I think his question was more like, how did you open the dragon head locked gate.

Once you get up on top of the maze you can do the other 3 horns and kill the end bosses and then return back to the top of maze and jump down and get the final horn. Notice that the objective to get the maze horn stays active all the way through, and the gates to the horn are still locked at the end, so this is what Inspire did.

Of course, the trick is getting on top of the maze. Typically people use flesh to stone on the trash mobs or beholder cookies, but perhaps there are other ways.

Beholder cookies should no longer work, they've all been converted to disintegrate or some such thing, and i've never been able to jump a second time from a FTS'ed mob's head, you just slide off to one side from what i remember. If that is the case however, i think it's hilarious that they removed beholder cookies from year one because people were exploiting them to get on top of the crucible maze, yet included black abbot cookies for FtS the following year :p

You can get through the Maze using the Valves.

The Horn of Cunning door is open untill Harza Ghost-Walker closes/walks through it.

I don't think that the sorc who solo'd it the other day had enough monk levels (if any at all) for abundant step.

I could totally see soloing this with probably 4 of my characters on normal, and maybe 2 of them on elite with no help (2 would need FOM cookies for the maze walk up top). Clerics wouldn't be necessary, but having harza ghost walker killed by his buddies would be a huge boon *rummages for diplo and intim items*.

You dont need FoM, pull out a ranged weapon and fire it at a few in the back. They will all fall into the maze except the Soul Howler on Red and the Elementalist on Green.

.Check the other thread, it gave the secret away. Also, note the sequence of his screenies, that explains quite a bit as well.

lmao altho my completion time was UGLY compared to yours, considering I had to figure out how to do the puzzle wheels (never pulled the switch before hehehe).

But I'll get better with practice. Thnx again!

i don't remember when mod4 was released but seems that the secret of soloing is finally revealed and much more ppl are gonna enjoy the most amazing quest for xp hunting in DDO. U will feel much better now if u have ever soloed it in the old days, especially when ur only lv14 w/o those uber DT armors/GS items/raid loots, since gnolls on top of maze would never fall down and u needed to keep running/jumping like hell without any stop to avoid of being trapped by sleet storm or knocked down by the comet, either means ur more like to be shoot to dead, lol.

you can pull a lever and pass through a door twice before it closes once
