Unless that's new, that was not the case when it was first crafted. I was around when Atanas made the first one, and it was pretty terrible.

Yes, it's also auto-crit. Not sure if it's been changed, but it's how it is now.

I've had Freezing Ice for quite a while, and it's always been auto-crit.

The original was definitely not auto-crits, but that's nice that they changed it.

yup the devs secretly unnerfed quite a few of the bad effects in a patch after 6 ( I think it was 6.1 ) doing things like increasing the proc rate of quite a few of the effects, as well as making Freezing Ice autocrit.

Quite nice - pity it wasn't mentioned in the release notes though.
