tried to test out some casting times of a few spells i havent used yet on my cleric in a couple pvp pits today - in a corner - by myself - attacking noone.

was attacked numerous times behind my back (by one in particular) and killed so that i could not do my testing.

moved to a different one. got set up to try again, and one of the people from the last pit came over and repeated the process, even stoning me this time.

if either of you are reading this, you're weak and assinine. i told you i wanted to test stuff but you wouldnt let me and then even pursued me when i left. that character is 3 weeks old and does not have hardly any gear. this is my first cleric in 2 years, and i am not a pvper, just wanted to do some testing. in case you care you're both on my black list.

For testing without being bothered, I would recomend going across the street to some low level quest or another. As an added bonus, you can kick around some kobolds to make you feel better :)

yes, they told me to do just this instead of testing in there. the reason for testing in the pit is i can swap out spells at will.

First, he told them he was testing and not PvP'ing. No other explanation is needed. Dont worry about what exactly he was testing, it doesnt matter.

Second, yeah killing people in a pit designed to PvP is exactly what it was meant for and maybe the OP should've realised he could've/would've been killed. But killing someone again after they have said they are not there to PvP is ******baggery.

Third, it doesnt matter how long he was danced/fts'd or held, it doesnt matter if he finished him off. He was followed to another tavern by one of the guys. That right there is harrasement.

Doesnt matter what he was testing either. Can you swap Spells while in a Deathmatch like the PvP Area?



I dont PvP because there is very little Common Courtesy and even less Respect in those pits.

When someone is there to test stuff, Goes off to a corner, its not too hard to just let em be.

well according to gms holding with out intention of killing is bannable holding with intention is not so if he was held for just 5sec and then killed can not get L banned, i never said it was ok if i remember correctly i called it lame which is my why of saying L is a d bag. while attacking someone when they ask you not to is not nice it should not get you banned since its free for all PvP

i just wanted a fair analysis of this situation to be taken into consideration if wizzly goes with clay's idea of reporting em which could lead to being banned.

one of the people i cannot stand the other is my friend, but no matter who i want it being fair, if the op is making a fuss out of something small then it should be known for the sake of not having these people black listed cuz someone got angry over PvP. however if this is not being exagerated and possibly underplaying what N and L did to him then report em and get em banned.

its not as simple as black and white, i may have been there for part of it but i wasnt paying attention to general chat just for a sec noticed a wierd guy in a corner, which brings me to confess im sry for shooting u with a shuriken op didnt know exactly what was going on at first

i was in a corner testing spell cast rates and he killed me with some manyshot. i said i was testing. i went back down and he did it again and called me a noob.

he stoned me then started to enervate. left me there for a few secs and then someone else was "nice" enough to kill me.

killed me when i was obviously not partaking in pvp, killed me after i said i was trying to test stuff, then called me a noob.

imo, it takes absolutely no skill to manyshot someone to death behind their back and the dead is not a noob.

i was just trying to discern spelle effect times. i eventually found out what i wanted to, but took much longer and came with much more aggravation than i anticipated.

fire storm and flame strike take a long time from cast to effect

chaos hammer and order's wrath take much longer than unholy blight and holy smite.

Heya Wizzly old buddy,

I learned a long time ago that those pits are full of people that I never seen in quests and raids, because their personalities are those of the type that have nothing but junk for brains and are just sad people.

I jumped in there one time because a friend was telling us of some jerk that was attacking and killing anyone who was in there, so I jumped in with my murdering freak and smacked him stupid.

Other than teaching people lessons, I really have no need or desire to go there.

It's too bad, because it is an ideal to test ***** out and even have a friendly match with friends to test out builds and what works and doesn't work so well.

If I want to test anything nowadays I just go into a few level lower quest and do what I want in peace, just to avoid the tards that live in the pits and have no lives.

It's really sad, but really, who of substance cares about the pit kids... can't find WoP rapiers in the pit.

Had a similar thing happen on Khyber awhile back. A level 16 caster was picking on a lowbie friend of mine as well as a couple of others of us. We were around lvl 4 and just having fun between ourselves. We promptly logged with our lvl 16s and came back, only to see them run away, sent them a tell and they said they would be back, but didnt see them again.

When confronted with equal opposition ppl turn into insta cowards, i guess they feel better about an otherwise pathetic existence by picking on those not equally able to defend themselves.

I certainly HOPE Wizzly goes with my suggestion of reporting. Aside from the lameness of killing someone AFTER they tell you they are there to simply test some stuff is arguably harassment. Following them to another tavern to repeat, is most certainly harassment. There is no room for even a little harassment in game. I personally do not wish to group with anyone who thinks so.

Dropping down to PVP pit... fair game... you kill em, uber you. They send a tell saying they just want to test spell casting times... and you simply kill them again--that is not uber, that is lame, no equivocation there, it IS lame. What a challenge. Like going into a shootout with a blind person with no weopon. I feel sorry for anyone who's ego is so low that then need to feel better about themselves by partaking in such activities.

The guy who followed Wizzly to a different tavern deserves a little time in the corner to reflect on how he could have made a better choice in that situation.

Why Not just go to the House D PVP area--its always dead in there. You can do your testing easily. Plus there are plenty of places to hide. I believe Samera did a youtube video of a chasing game in there--looked pretty cool. Anyway--there's plenty of places to do your testing without aggroing people that wanna pick on level 3 tooons.
