just wondering if i make a greensteal weapon/armor, can i apply force + force crit ritual to weapons, and the AC ritual to armor and shields?
will it screw up my upgrades in the shroud?
bascially I don't want to create a pos tier III weapon and then add force ritual to it and have it screw up one of my bonus effects on the weapon!!!

They are totally separate and won't affect your upgrades.

Rituals don't affect your greensteel weapons/items.

You can add alchemical rituals without screwing up the weapon. Enjoy your pink kill animation.

Here's a related question...
I just finished Tier 3 on a weapon and, since it's bound, assumed it won't take permanent damage. Is that a correct assumption or do I need to bind and attune it?

you only need to bind and attune it to perform the additional ritual to it like force crit or force damage

None of the bound items in game take permanant damage, wether it has been attuned has nothing to do with it. SO you are correct in assuming your shroud items will not take permantant damage, just like all raid items.

You can only have one ritual on any item, crafting is seperate from this. Meaning, you can have a teir three shourd item and place the force damage on every hit to it, but you could not also add the critical force damage as well.

Does your green steel weapon have to have been crafted to be able to add this? I haven't started upgrading my swords yet and have tried to bind and attune them to add the force ritual to them, but I can't seem to get this to work! Trying the Force ritual staight off hasn't worked either. A little help please? :D Thnxs.

I added force to my GS weapon after T2 and before my T3 upgrade so yes you can.
Did you attune & bind the GS weapon before you tried to add the force ritual to it? If not, that's your problem. If you did successfully attune it, what message did you get from the device when the force ritual failed?
