Seriously? This whole puncturing deal is getting out of hand. It has come to puncturing kobolds for gods sake....

Vendor it.... Its faster to kill stuff with DPS at that level , even if you're a cleric using a greataxe.... (seriously) ;)

Further evidence that a nerf is forthcoming.


Whenever the majority of the population begins to gravitate to one specific means of killing monsters, the devs nerf it (cloudkill and firewall anyone?) and do so without regard for how much plat you spent to get your hands on it. They may even attempt to remove it to some extent from the game or make it more rare/costly (wounding = or > vorpal in the loot table or wounding has a chance to deal con damage to the wielder with no save or means of blocking damage)

Something is going to happen, and MOD 9 is my guess for when and where.

Definitely. 1 or 2 k gold vs 8-10K gold big difference

It's worth a little more than vendor price. I've been buying these to resell from the House D brokers - tend to get between 4 and 12k PP.


As far as actual usefulness goes tho - it's crud. Con damage is weaker than DPS till about level 8, then equal till about level 12, then superior after that. By the time you get to those higher levels, you can get MUCH better Con damage weapons - plain wounders, Puncturing rapiers with Imp Crit, or if very lucky WoPs.
