am confused

When crafting green steel items, that get a +1 skill bonus, they dont stack with your base do they?
I want to craft green steel goggles and take the the wisdom bonuses but they are skill bonuses , so they in turn will not actually raise my wisdom correct. Just my wisdom skill. All i can benefit from is the added spell points I can get from the item. Is this a correct statement?

Howdy mate, i will do my best to try and set your mind at ease.

The skill bonus, ie exceptional bonus to wis skill for example, that gives +1 at tier I, +2 at tier II and +3 at tier III, gives an overall bonus of +6 to your wis skills, which stack with other bonuses.

So for example if you have spot skill, which is wisdom skill and you are wearing +15 spot goggles and you have 19 ranks in spot AND you have +8 for example from wisdom, this will give you an overall score of 42 for spot. The exceptional bonus you get from your Tier III GS item adds to this giving an additional +6, making a total of 48 overall.

In addition to that you will also get the spell point bonus as well, plus the Tier II bonus and the Tier III bonus.

Hope this clears it up and that i havent confused you more.

One further thing, if you wanted to increase total wisdom score, you would need to make a weapon with exceptional bonus to ability score. Ability scores are only avail on weapons, unless you are making pos/neg goggles for example, where +6 wis is part of the Tier II bonus, along with haggle and diplomacy. Hope all this helps.

Thanks yeah i got alittle too excited and didnt read the skill thing to clearly was thinkin weapon and thought could boost my wisdom, but oh well sp is always nice
