I was snooping around the forums trying to find an old bard build that i played a while back.
All i can remember about it, is that it was 4 rogue / 12 bard and kicked ass at the kill count, soloing moderate high level stuff (i zerged alot on it), had kick ass umd and could handle just about all the traps and locks in game.

I though it was one that you posted on the Khyber forums a long time ago but after half an hour or so of going through the really old posts i found it to see that it wasn't it, what i found was one you made 1 fighter / 2 rogue / 11 bard

you had some notes there about taking khopesh proficiency at level 16 but weren't really clear about it.

So ya if you know the build im talking about / had one like it (or a good pure bard khopesh zerger) it would be a ton of help, thanks man

oh thanks aranticus, geeze you been playing since launch? ive been playing ddo on and off since launch but usually come tot eh forums to see whats going on and always see you posting, also ill play on khyber now (my stepdad started playing when i last quit to play wow for a while) now hes got an account full of 16's and pretty famous on his server (im level 5 there and met 5 ppl that know him lol), so im gonna play there for awhile

Welcome to Khyber, for the most part we are zerging loot *****s, who love to raid. But generally we're nice to new players. If you're looking to make a battlebard may I suggest dwarf(you get dwarven axe feat free, and take a level or 2 of fighter, level or 2 of rogue if you feel the need. I Have a 421 HP dwarven fighter/ranger/bard that is so much fun to play. 14 bard 1 ranger 1 ftr atm, going 16/2/2 when cap increases

Hi!, yes that was me on my old account that posted that. (RIP). Anyways, Dwarf is a good choice, but I wouldn't recommended it for several reasons:

1) Dwarf Toughness is no longer as desirable with the new Racial Toughness Line.

2) Your going to want to pick up Khopesh anyway because of their end game superiority over dorf axe. So I recommend Human for extra feats, but not needed with fighter levels added on.

Overall, if your going by my old bard build there are many new changes I would advise. First off, skip the fighter levels. Second, end build should be 18 bard/2 rogue. Lastly, theres alot of things I would change now with the current game style. Here's the current build I would suggest.

Now, one small thing is maybe dropping quicken or extend for force of personality, which is not really needed.. if you have the slot for a wisdom item and wisdom tome, you can hit 16 wisdom. which would put you at a 12 will save with nothing on, add +4/+5 resist item, Greater hero, and head of good fortune for example and you can easily break 20 will save without Force of Personality, and be sitting at a 22,23,or 24 will save.

Just to be clear:
End Stat's with +6 items etc on with the enhancements:
Strength: 30 (32 with rage)
Dexterity: 22 (fit into delving suit)
Constitution: 20 (22 with rage)
Intelligence: 10
Wisdom: 8 (or 16 with Item on and +2 tome)
Charisma: 28

Hit points are a little low, you could just drop human versatility or something less used for racial toughness hp. As for this build your HP would be at 244 with Greater False Life no shroud item, all together though it would be very easy to hit 322 with no shroud item. So almost 400 with shroud item on. Not bad for a weakling human bard!
