View Full Version : HELP! whats going on w/my account

for 12 days now at around 12:45 am my account shuts off. I keep reactivating it (at cost), I have tried MANY times to get assistance on this from DM's to the accounting office. Ive sent many e-mails (no response) Ive tried calling the their office today (I get a voice that says this "number" doesn't receive calls). I'm at wits end. If anyone has any ideas please let me see them

You may want to call your credit card company to see if it's a problem on their end. A similar, though not exact, problem was happening to a guild-mate of mine a ways back - and calling the CC company is what helped him fix it. If nothing else, they may be able to tell you why Turbine is declining the card as often as they seem to be.

you don't expect gameplay tips from technical support, so don't post account management issues in a general topic meant for gameplay.


Go to the account management forum and post directly there, even if it's for general procerdure. This could be an issue that affects others and is a "solvable issue":

I suggest you use the CHAT not email option from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. ET, and IF you try calling (good luck,) you dial the listed number: 781-407-4020 from 12:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. ET, both Monday - Friday. I personally dialed that number and if you are in the US, it should work just fine.

Yes, I did support for many years, so remember, before contacting Turbine,try to get as many details (even the little things) as possible:
When did this start? Did this ever happen previously before it shut off daily? Is the card a DEBIT and not a credit card (they will mention why that is important if it is)? Are you familiar how to cancel and reactivate the account without additional charges? Have you searched the Knowledge base? Did you have a new credit card or get your current one updated due to expiration or theft? Etc.....

Just after midnight is when they authorize credit cards. Something is wrong with the credit card you have on file. If you check with your bank you may find that none of the charges were successfully authorized and that there is a problem with the card (or your cards anti-fraud unit has blocked the Turbine charges for some reason).

Fastest resolution (assuming you haven't actually been billed 12 times) would be to give them a different credit card number.
