View Full Version : Cheapest Loot?

I just recently pulled a +1 light pick on my new Dwarf fighter. Thought to myself, meh, not worth posting on the AH, so I'll just sell it at the next tavern and kept running. Next time I sold, scrolled down to bottom, selected all the junk and sold. No biggie right? Sometime later I open my inventory and there's the pick. Huh? Thought I sold, oh well, must have just not clicked on it. Kept moving and sold next time I was in a tavern. A little later, I checked inventory and there it was, still there. Wha? Finally did a mouse over on it to try to find out why it hadn't sold.
Turns out its a +1 Light Pick, no min lvl but RR Dwarf - base value - 4gp. Not 40gp, not 400gp....4gp. The reason it hadn't sold was it was sitting at the very TOP of my sell list and I had always scrolled to bottom too quick to notice. Don't have a screenie of it at the moment, but I can get one.
So, my cheapest +1 or better weapon is worth 4gp. What's yours?

Unfortunately my guys all run around with W/P rapiers.
Not just for weapons, but my robes are made out of em, my shields...hell I even have a helm made out of w/p rapiers....
The boots are very uncomfortable...

Nope, never used totally intact. This guy doesn't use Picks, just axes and warhammers. Seriously, I'll try to get a screen cap when I get home - its just a +1 RR Dwarf Light pick with a value of 4gp. I thought it was funny enough to post here to see if anyone else had found similar stuff.

I used to notice that in lowbie quests, +1 junk doesnt sell, or some of it, has to be thrown away.

Kinda like those handwraps you're offered after completing the bar fight in the Wavecrest? Everything else is several hundred gold, the flaming handwraps are worth 1gp.

So far my favorite was a +1 Quarterstaff (RR: Warforged, UMD 8) with a selling price of 1 copper. I kept it for a while to use as a Two-Handed ooze whacker being its repair cost was incredibly cheap. :)

Noticed this too, for some reason if it has a RR on it at all the price drops steeply. I pulled two of the same item (+1 thundering light hammer) from "Dead Girl's Spellbook" on Sunday, one was RR Halfling, the other was without and the cost for the RR was 12gp to sell but the one without RR was 525 gp.
What gives?

Yeah, I saw those. But, that's named loot - what about cheapie random loot? That's what I was looking for here...
But yeah, saw those with a new monk and thought it was funny.

When gianthold first came out (Mod 4?) the end rewards for casters didnt require an enhancement and sold for the same price as regular items. Ie you'd have a scepter of the magi valued at a few silver pieces.
